'Solid no frills, comfortably and excellent service '

'I stayed in the McCulloch Suite in the Sion Bass House (one of the two adjacent historic homes which make up this property). The suite was very spacious and clean. The check-in instructions which were emailed the day of check-in were very clear. There was a folding ironing board, iron, lots of extra towels, literature related to the history of the property and the city (for anyone who might be interested). 'All of their rooms are No Smoking rooms and I love that because I don't smoke and I don't want to inhale someone's second hand smoke. The room was clean, smoke free and cheap; it was exactly what I needed.'

'The air-conditioning did not work. The unit was dirty and smelled of smoke even though it was a non smoking unit. The toilet seat was broken and held on with only one bolt. There were no glasses provided in in the room. They did not have a replacement room. We were forced to find a different hotel. Told us we could only get back our deposit. The agent was rude considering the service.'

'The hotel is going through renovation. There's a lot of construction debris. On Saturday morning construction noise started at 6:30am. I found it dishonest there's no mention of construction on the hotel booking website or third party website. Luckily the room we got has already gone through the renovation so it was clean. The breakfast was okay, stuff were friendly.'
