Prettig hotel
Het is een prettig hotel met vriendelijk personeel. De airco en de wifi werken beiden goed. Je kunt elke ochtend tussen 7 en 10 ontbijten. Dit kost 5 euro pp pd extra. Ook is er iets verder in de kleine straat een parkeergarage waar je voor 10 euro per dag kunt parkeren. Dat is fijn, want verder is er in de straat niet veel parkeerruimte. Het personeel is vriendelijk en spreekt over het algemeen aardig goed Engels. Elke dag worden de kamers opgeruimd en schoongemaakt en voorzien van nieuwe handdoeken, mits je op tijd uit je kamer ben (voor een uur of 1). De bedden zijn prima, wel wat aan de harde kant. De douchekop heeft een zeer krachtige straal, maar is qua temperatuur goed instelbaar. Wij hadden een kamer met een duur aan de binnenplaats met verschillende tafeltjes en stoelen waar je in de zon en in de schaduw buiten kunt zitten.

Very close to the main railway station
The hotel is really well kept and impressed me a lot. The location is good because it is across the street form the main railway station, but with this comes all the bad characters that hang around stations too. The neighbourhood is a little dodgy, but as soon as you enter the hotel, it is as if it is a totally different world.

The hotel bathroom was moldy and very old. The pictures do not do it justice. The staff was great and the food was good. The area of the city is very dirty and somewhat unsafe

We chose the Villa Romeo due to its location to the main train station, it's just across the street. We were only staying one night before flying from Catania to Rome. The hotel is old but well maintained. We enjoyed our brief stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was typical but could be eaten in the beautiful courtyard which is filled with plants, very pretty. Overall a fine visit.

This property has a lovely courtyard garden for breakfast. The downside of this is that if you have a room overlooking this you are plagued by mosquitos. I had more than 25 bites on one hand alone! They hadn't managed to spray the rooms yet and did not supply repellent plugs. We had booked a suite but this was unavailable so were moved to this room.

施設自体の古さは否めないが、清掃は行き届いていました。 シーズンオフで、カタニア空港に23時頃到着してからのチェックインが出来るホテルが非常に限られていたので、こちらは追加料金無しで受け入れていただけて、とても助かりました。 また、深夜料金も入れて35€で迎えのタクシーも用意していただけました。良心的な価格だと思います。７人乗りの豪華なタクシーでした。 お部屋のエアコンはダイキンの新しいものが入っていたので、快適でした。 窓から見える中庭も素敵でした。 シャワールームにゴキブリが1匹出ましたが、そういう事もあるかなと。

Non un gran esperienza: sporchino e poco curato
Accoglienza ala reception ok. Personale gentile. Le camere terribili: odore di muffa, pavimento e bagno sporchi. Causa freddo (non certo colpa dell'hotel) ho acceso il condizionatore per scaldare ma staccava dopo 10 minuti. Colazione anche deludente in termini di qualità e del personale. The hotel was charming and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Convenient location for transportation (train and bus stations. However, very few restaurants other than fast food. The situation was saved by one restaurant across the street, Manga. The three simple meals I had there were good.

Hidden Gem! extremely good value wonderful service
A nice surprise to stay in the former palace, with historic architecture, beautiful décor, modern comforts and great service they offered. Close to the train and bus stations. 20 min walk to the center of Catania. Staff at the reception were professional, friendly and very helpful. Francesco helped us add 3rd night at Hotel Villa Romeo (It sold out at the date when I booked months ago), and called for canceling the other hotel. We had a large 4-persons room, clean and comfortable. The shower head holder was broken, it got fixed the next day without request. Overall, we highly recommended this underrated 3 star hotel.

The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance from the train station, though the area around the station is not very attractive. The hotel itself is a immaculately restored palazzo with access from the rooms to serene and tranquil courtyards. The front desk staff is not only very professional but personable and helpful, inspiring confidence. A special thanks to Francesco! We enjoyed our stay very much.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Villa Romeo. It had an "old world" feel with modern conveniences; exactly what we were looking for in this fascinating city. The room was spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed, and the included breakfast was varied and generous. Special mention: The inner garden terrace breakfast terrace was a wonderful and unexpected delight. Absolutely gorgeous. We described the surroundings as gritty, but truly, pretty much all of Catania could be described thus. My wife and I never felt unsafe in any way, but Catania faces challenges in refuse removal and general upkeep. Overall, 5 out of 5!

Best hotel in Sicily
Manager, Francesco remembers me !!! I stayed this hotel last September. This hotel has the best location, very close to the station. Breakfast at a patio with Mallorca ceramic table is fabulous! I definitely stay at this hotel whenever I come to Catania!

Das Hotel ist traumhaft,selten so ein schönes Hotel in dieser Preisklasse gesehen!!!Aber die Umgebung in der sich das Hotel befindet ist leider alles andere als schön.......das würde uns aber nicht erneut davon abhalten dort zu nächtigen,denn das muss man erlebt haben ..

Stay away! Dirty and terrible staff
Terrible property! Avoid at all cost!! The pictures on the site were taken years ago! Since it has not been updates or cleaned. Front desk staff extremely rude. Moreover, I left my luggage for the afternoon after checkout. When I returned, I was charged in cash for it by the front desk attendant. I was never told I had to pay and I’m cash! No receipt, nothing. I travel several weeks out of the year for many years already. This is the first time I encountered this. This is not a 3 start hotel, it’s a 1 or two at max. Stay away from it!!

Bien pour une nuit escale
L’hôtel est propre, chambre literie et sanitaires propres. Par contre le quartier craint pas mal, en face de la gare, nous n’étions pas rassurés pour notre véhicule car parking plein, donc voiture garée dans la rue très passante.

Hotel is a solid 3 star. Good service from staff. Nice enough inside. It is convenient to the train station and motorcoach transit. However there is a number of homeless people in the area around all this, and a lot of litter, graffiti etc. We didn't feel threatened or uneasy about walking about but it isn’t the nicest area.
