"We were pretty unlucky to arrive to a day of storm, dramatic rainfall and terrible gusts of wind, which is clearly not the norm for this area. The house manager responded swiftly and supportively to our electricity issues caused by this, thankfully. The house itself was great, lovely sized bedrooms and en suites, well equipped kitchen and cosy living room. The furniture by the pool was comfortable too. The area itself, probably bursting with life in the high season was very quiet. Shops and restaurants were open but lively would not be a good description. The golden beaches stretch for miles. We especially enjoyed the birdlife, hoopoes on the golfcourse behind the house, flocks of blue magpies, flamingoes close by, owls hooting in the darkness. Seville is within striking distance and there was a little life to be found in Punta Umbria. Recommended out of season, if you are looking for peace and quiet! And dont forget, the Spanish eat late!"
