You'll love this spacious and beautiful home that can sleep up to 18 guests! Lightning fast (100mb) internet will support all your devices. Located on the north end of Carlsbad just minutes from most of the restaurants in the city and only a thirty minute drive to the Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Relax with your family or group in this four bedroom house featuring 2 king beds, 1 queen, a bunk bed room with four full size beds, and two sofa queen size beds.

The space
All brand new rustic furniture is super comfy with southwestern flair. Big screen TVs in every bedroom, that will stream all your favorite cable tv shows. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade game will keep the kids entertained. Two full size dining tables that can seat 13, and an outside covered patio that can seat 6. The house is stocked with coffee maker, blender, toaster, and modern appliances. Washer and Dryer Room with ironing board. Beautiful Spacious bathrooms. Pack n Play is available for babies/toddlers. We've made sure to add all the comforts of home to enrich your stay and are very responsive to the needs of our guests

The home is in a decent neighborhood. The owner was very good at communication. We loved that there were two tables in the dining area so everyone could eat together. The kids loved the game system. There were two issues that made the stay less than great. First, the home just wasn’t that clean. Like if you just glanced it looked ok, but the rug in the living area was extremely dirty and didn’t appear to have been vacuumed well. It needs to either be replaced or have it steam cleaned. This wouldn’t have probably been a big deal, but we had four toddlers and two grade school kids who wanted to play on the floor. One toddler found a pill just under the couch and another kid found some gummies (not sure if they were regular or drugs) but these things scared us to death. Additionally, the ceiling fans, blinds, and baseboards were filthy. In general, the home just needs a really good deep cleaning. The bathrooms were mostly clean, but the walls were dirty and had touch up paint in completely different colors. That wasn’t a big deal, but it just showed the lack of care. The second big issue for us was the room with the bunks. It stayed extremely hot in that room. It would benefit from a window unit or something like that to help it cool down. The bunk beds also really need to be tightened up. They definitely felt too unstable for adults to sleep on (even on the bottom bunk). Additionally, I would note that the furniture is pretty worn out and is uncomfortable.

Hiking trip

I am sad to say that this property is not one that we will be returning to. We were just looking for something clean and comfortable for 2 families to visit the Guadeloupe Mountains and thought this would work because it had room for everyone in our group and was the only option we found on Vrbo for our group size of 8-10 on the dates we needed. As we unloaded we all noticed that the home was definitely not clean to our standards or I would think most peoples standards and tried to be gracious, but kept finding things -All of the towels were stained or possibly still dirty, so we re-washed all of the ones we would be using. The floors were still sticky and dirty so we left our shoes on the whole stay-we had a 2 yr old who as most toddlers do, played in the floor. The sheets were meh and I wiped the toilets before we used them. We washed all the sheets from the beds and had to stop at 12am, because we were hiking the next day. Unfortunately Our 4 teenagers slept in the bunk room- and complained about a terrible smell. We could not find the culprit and since we ran out of time to wash the sheets in this room the boys had to sleep as it was. Had we done so we would have seen that every single one of the 4 bunk mattresses was covered in urine stains and one with bed bugs- no mattress covers. one of the young men left covered in bed bug bites and then 2 days later he found a bed bug in his own home. I messaged the owner after our stay and he returned the cLeaning fee.

A few problems

When we arrived the rooms, bedsheets and living space was not cleaned. We waited 2 extra hours , 4-6pm for the house to be cleaned but the vacuum used didn’t pick up hair balls on the rugs or sunflower seeds in the bedrooms. Then there were long screws sticking out of the bunk beds and dining chairs that came out of the cushions. They cut up the children’s thighs and shins before we noticed them. We used painters tape to cover them up but some seats we needed to sit on the edge. My concerns were not addressed until after 2-3 days post-trip. Even then, we only received a 100 refund that didn’t cover the cleaning fee. We stayed for 5 days and got no response but automated pleasantries. Too bad the trip started out poorly and our injuries and concerns were met with little apology.

Bathrooms were not clean upon arrival. Trash around property. Kitchen grimy and appliances not cleaned upon arrival. Sheets and linens were fine however the overall cleanliness of property was well below expectation.

Mostly great!

My family and I stayed three nights here and it was mostly great! The house was nice and clean. The bunk room was great for the kids and the Ninja Turtle game was a hit! There were a few communication issues. I messaged the host about a few concerns and only got automated messages in return. It would have been nice to get a real answer. The location was very convenient and the neighborhood was nice. Overall, a nice stay!

Good, centrally-located property to National Parks

I selected the property due to proximity to National Parks, and size of the property. Property worked well for our needs. Positives - large living room, kitchen and dining area, large converted garage for extra bedroom space, convenient to grocery stores and local attractions. GREAT wi-fi. Negatives - dishwasher does not work well. Family mentioned the rooms were "dark", and noticed multiple light bulbs were burned out. Both negatives were mentioned to the property owner for correction. If corrected, this would be a 5-star location for me. Communication/check-in issues were probably due to owner being out of the country for most of our stay.

Grand adobe stay

The trash was full when we got there and nobody came to get it during our stay. The toilet in one of the restrooms was also broken. We had to manually flush it. The switch in the other bathroom did not work so the light would stay on and it was also heating up a lot. Overall it was a great stay in a nice neighborhood but just in need of a few home improvements.

We had a group of 8 and the house was very spacious for us. Comfy beds. You can tell this place has been rented out for a while, some things missing / wobbly and have seen better days, but nothing that would prevent me from staying here again if I had a big group!

Amazing comfortable beds

This place was fantastic. The beds were phenomenal. We rented this for graduation. We were able to walk the Graduation at the high school! We had a large group of people of all ages. The bunk room was excellent for the kids, and the living and dining room areas were awesome to hang out in and spacious the couches were also pull out beds.
