An amazing retreat filled with peace and quiet, meadows, rivers, springs, spruce and aspen, wildlife and no TV. Mike, the gentleman who keeps everything running tip top, is great at making you feel at home and leaving you to your retreat. We spent 9 days here and wanted 9 more. The hot spring water is piped into three tubs, each with magnificent views - mountain faces, river and meadows, the temperature moderated by the cold spring also on property and the order of filling. Wildflowers everywhere and encounters with wildlife really made this the perfect place to refuel our hearts and minds.
The cabins are great, too! The king bed was the perfect firmness and dressed in top notch linens so it was easy to have a lie in in the mornings - except the outdoors was so beautiful it called us out. Coffee and yoga on the deck in the morning, grilling in the evening. The cabins are bright and filled with light, great views and have everything you need. We ate almost every meal in (we're picky about our food) and had everything we wanted or needed for cooking. Close to so much great hiking (try Avalanche Creek trail), Stand Up Paddle Boarding in Marble a few miles up the road with Cyndi, a great Barbecue in the same town, and for a little more city vibe, Carbondale about 10 miles the other way is filled is sophisticated eats (try Phat Thai!), an amazing spa at True Nature Healing Arts and farmers markets with a great downtown vibe. Lovely and lovingly cared for, this is the ideal vacation and retreat spot.
