We spent thanksgiving on the island as first timers! The house was absolutely beautiful and fully stocked with every necessity you could possibly need. The owners and property manager were incredibly accommodating, making the whole experience seamless from start to finish.It was perfect for families spacious exterior, comfortable and cozy interior, and designed to help you relax the moment you walk in. My kids loved the amenities and we loved that they delete continuously entertained! They truly created a little island of paradise here! North Captiva itself is a treasure, full of great people, beautiful surroundings, and this home made our trip unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Lovely long weekend

Our stay at Peace of Paradise was just perfect. The property is unique, tastefully decorated and lends itself to great gatherings. I’ve never seen a rental property with all the kitchen gadgets and appliances and this one had all of them! Our host and property manager were both very communicative and responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Escape from winter

Enjoyed a little adventure to North Captiva from cold Minnesota! Had a great time walking the shell covered beaches and catching up with family in a quiet, relaxing place. Great home to stay at! Communication and planning was amazing, highly recommend.

The house was in great, clean shape and was as described. Communication with the owner and Tortuga was fantastic. The downstairs patio was perfect for games and dinner straight off the grill. We would stay here again!

Multi generational family vacation that didn’t disappoint! North Captiva is a fantastic place and Peace of Paradise was a lovely home away from home. The pool and outdoor space was the highlight of the home. Kitchen is stocked for all of our cooking needs. Highly recommend

Better than Description

We stayed at Peace of Paradise over the holidays and it surpassed expectations. Check in was a breeze with Kale meeting us at the dock with golf carts ready to go. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed to thoroughly enjoy our time there. Although the island still showed some signs of damage from the hurricane, the property was in perfect shape and the beach was amazing! Thanks for a great stay!!!

Our family had an amazing time at Peace of Paradise. House was perfect for my husband and I and our 4 boys. All the amenities that came with the house were well used and great. We appreciated the communication with the owners as well as the entire Tortuga team! Great home, great location.

Fabulous Island Getaway

This property has the most outdoor amenities on the entire island! Hammocks, tiki bar with bar swings, pool with a waterfall, grilling and pizza making and so much more. The beds were comfortable and the house was fully stocked. We love that the layout of the home is one big circle and every room is super unique! We will book this property again if it is available for our annual Labor Day trip.

Great home on the island

We had great communication with the owner throughout our stay, and property managers for most of our stay. The house was beautiful with easy access to the beach! Fully equipped for our needs and lots to do right at the house. The only minor thing is that the bunk room was fairly tight, and definitely would have been chaotic had we needed more than one or two of the beds.

Truly a Peace of Paradise

Such a wonderful oasis for the week! As first time visitors to North Captiva Island we appreciated all the communication and helpful tips prior to our arrival. That communication continued throughout our stay. The house is well appointed with everything you need. The pool was splendid and having two golf carts that were brand new was a real treat. Truly a Peace of Paradise!

This was our second trip to the island and it lived up to everything we remembered! Peace of Paradise is a wonderful place. The downstairs bar and hammock area, along with the pool are AMAZING. Whenever we were not at the beach this is where we were. The house was clean and decorated so cute. The beach is only a short trip away, and "town" (aka the restaurant/bar) was close too! Clean up is still on-going on the island, but it's still the most relaxing place!

My family enjoyed our stay here. The location is great, being away from the busier part of the island but still close to be convenient. The Tom Thumb being in front of the building and in walking distance was also very convenient. The smaller size of the building was very nice, more space available on the beach. The condo was in good shape, and clean. Very spacious throughout the entire condo, so my family didn't feel cramped. The televisions were nice and worked without issue. It would have been nice to have a bit more supplies like paper towels or detergents stocked, but this was not a deal breaker for us. The owner was helpful and good with communication as well. All in all, a great place to stay, in a great location, with a great owner.

The house was super cute and clean, the outside bar with swings was super fun and having a shower outside was convenient. The pool was nice with the waterfall very calming. The pool lights at night did not work. It was nice having 2 golf carts.

Family Retreat

The location is beautiful and the house is very nice and perfect for our family (4 adults and 4 kids.) We had some inital bumps in the vacation. What I would say is remember it's an island so everything is a little slower; including getting things fixed, luggage takes a little longer, pack your groceries well if you are bringing your own, if you have kids the internet is slow so plan accordingly. Molly the owner was helpful and responsive. Even with the bumps the location was amazing we decided during our stay that North Captiva will be an annual family vacation.

Peace at Piece of Paradise!

We loved our Captiva Island vacation! The design of the round home and all its windows for natural light was so lovely. The home was clean and had such beautiful style and decor. The kitchen and grill amenities were fabulous. We very much enjoyed the outdoor features and all the seating areas. The pool is situated nicely for sun and shade, and we really loved the waterfall feature for a peaceful sound while enjoying the patio area. The beach was just a five minute walk along a quiet and pleasant road. The whole island is quiet and peaceful. We absolutely loved how secluded and peaceful it was…no cars, no big buildings, the beaches were wide and open and not crowded. And our kids had a blast at the beach every morning, playing in the sand and water as it came in and the many shells there were to find (I loved this too!). We then spent a couple hours at the pool in the high sun if the afternoon, and then went back to the beach for the late afternoon and sunset. It was fabulous. A truly magical place. And worth some of the logistical effort (shuttle, grocery planning, and ferry) to get there. Molly, the owner, was very thorough with trip planning information and promptly in touch, as was the concierge service they have hired to take care of anything for you during your stay. We would love to stay here again!

Wonderful getaway

We loved our stay on NCI and in this beautiful home! The home was very clean (aside from a dishwasher issue that was quickly resolved) and the kitchen was very well stocked with appliances, pots/pans, basic spices, and pretty much any and everything you could need. The reverse osmosis water was really convenient for filling up our own water bottles we packed so we didn’t have to worry about buying any water from the store. One less thing to haul over on the ferry! As a hot tea drinker, I fell in love with the instant hot water dispenser! Loved having 2 sets of washer/dryers too. Lots of comfortable outdoor living space and having the pool was a huge bonus. The bikes were a great addition to the 2 brand new golf carts. The 4 beach chairs were upright only (but had a great side table attached) so if you like to recline, I’d suggest bringing your own. The beach access is an easy golf cart or bike ride away. We did have issues with trying to watch anything on tv...the internet is really slow but that’s not really a big issue when you are on a beautiful island. We did have to take turns using WiFi though if kids were trying to submit school assignments or someone was taking a work zoom call so that there were no disruptions. They have a big collection of movies though if you get frustrated trying to watch Netflix or whatever isn’t downloading! We took a private charter through Boats and Fun instead of the ferry and it was perfect. We also rented kayaks, paddle boards, and fishing polls from them and highly recommend! The kids surprisingly loved fishing on the beach everyday. Overall, the owners have done a fantastic job of getting this house ready to rent and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!
