  • Herinner je je Lifestles of the Rich and Famous? Verblijf een week of langer bij Hacienda Horned Frog op Captiva Island en je zult je een beroemdheid voelen. Ons huis is nooit volledig verhuurd en uitgedost. Het huis heeft meer dan 4.000 m² ruimte voor maximaal 14 gasten. Beneden is een privétheater met een oprolbaar scherm, een biljarttafel, een natte bar en loop direct naar het zwembad in de stijl van het resort, compleet met een bubbelbad, een waterval en een glijbaan. Beneden is ook een slaapkamer met 2 grote bedden en een complete badkamer. Het hele zwembad is gescreend voor privacy en comfort. Het hoogste niveau beschikt over een keuken in chef-stijl met hoogwaardige apparatuur, een zitkamer en 3 slaapkamers / 3. 5 badkamers. Boven zijn twee ruime master suites met kingsize bedden en en-suite badkamers. U bevindt zich in het hart van Captiva Village, waardoor u niet alleen binnen 50 stappen van het zand bent, maar ook op korte loopafstand van winkels en restaurants. Our family had a wonderful time staying here. The house was large enough for our party of 11. The only issue was the pool was too hot to enjoy it. The temperature was 108 degrees. Everything else was great for our annual vacation.

Beautiful property, perfect location, loved the pool, hot tub, and the game/theater room was perfect for our group of 10 adults...would definitely stay again! My mother in law claimed it was the nicest place she's stayed in yet!

The home was spacious and clean with plenty of room for a family get together. The location was great with a short walk or cart ride to eats, beach, etc. The host made it easy and answered questions quickly. Great stay and great memories!

Very nice house, close to the beach (10 minute walk), great communication/response by property manager. Only negative was that the price was a little high and then VRBO charges some hefty fees on top of that.

We had a couple of days not knowing how to operate the hot tub but the property manager was very good and got back to usWe are sorry we forgot to turn the dishwasher on we went for our last golf cart run and we totally forgot We are sorry Beautiful house beautiful location

This was our second year at Stay a Wiles - obviously, we loved it enough to come back. It's a great location - easy walk to the beach- or even to the town center. It's such a safe area with kids. We were three families - grandparents, two couples, and six kids under 8 years old -- we didn't miss for anything. The kids loved the pool and could have lived in it all week. We had one glitch the first night - there was a problem with the water system in the second upstairs bedroom that caused a loud sound to randomly come on in the middle of the night. We called in the morning, and two plumbers were there in short order and spent the day fixing it. They did. No problem after that.It's a great stay. We're planning to go back next year!

Pool area was fantastic! Beautiful! Excellent amenities. Maintenance on home was very slack! Leak in ceiling has been going on for sometime, possible mold! Third day of stay septic tank backed up and flooded bottom floor!

Great house !

We really enjoyed our stay at Stayawhiles! The house was amazing! I wish we would have known that they had plenty of bench chairs, cooler and everything really you needed for the beach - as I would not have rented a thing and spent $260!! The kids loved loved the pool/slide and movie theater. Would recommend to anyone!

Unfortunately there were many maintenance issues. The 2 worst were the water pipes vibrated loudly and kept us awake and the fridge was broken so much of our food spoiled. On the 5th day they finally fixed the fridge but after 3 visits by 2 different tradesmen, the pipes are apparently a more major construction issue.

Wonderful setting for a family vacation!

This home was a wonderful base for our stay on Captiva island. We were a group of 9 adults so the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms worked perfectly for our group. The proximity to the beach was fantastic, as well as the stock of beach accessories that were used daily. We spent most afternoons by the pool, the slide was a hit, and the lanai made for a little amount of bugs and some sun protection. The games/media room was great for evenings after dinner! Unsung hero of the trip was the ice machine! It was a great home!

The hot tub could have been hotter. You had to select to heat the hot tub versus the pool, wish the heating systems were separate. The pool had to be fixed for us to control it. The first day or two had to be controlled remotely but it did get fixed on Monday. Big thanks!The property is really amazing & we definitely enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for everyone to have their own rooms and bathrooms. The common areas were amazing as well.Wishes:1) Better description about the beach items in the garage. We didn't need to rent so much of beach chairs, etc.2) Lights on the outside stairs to the front door (at the base of the step), weren't lit. It would have been safer for our elderly moms if they had been.3) The vents in several of the bathrooms didn't work.4) Request for a throw carpet under the large dining table on the main floor. The chairs make a very large noise when they are moved.It really is a beautiful property, hope it can continue to be well maintained.

We have mixed feelings regarding our week at Stay-A-While on Captiva. The house was large and accommodated our family of 10 adults and 3 children. The pool and slide was a highlight for the trip. The location was excellent and we could easily walk to local restaurants. The lowlight was that we had rented the 6-person golf cart - and confirmed its availability the week before the trip - only to arrive and have no golf cart. If you’ve been to Captiva, you understand why a golf cart is a must. I spent the evening Saturday and several hours on Sunday communicating with the site managers, and was finally told that the owners of the property had changed their minds and retained the golf cart. It was then suggested that I contact a local vendor (Salty Adventures-who were great, btw!) to try to rent a cart. Great idea, but without having any prior notice, there were no 6-person carts available. Salty Adventures was able to help us out but I spent the first 1-1/2 days of our vacation on the phone making calls and texts. I asked Stay-A-While to cover the cost of the Salty rental and they agreed to cover the cost of if I provided them a receipt at the end of the trip. I was satisfied with this agreement and planned to leave a super positive review, except, the reimbursement did not come through. I reached out to the managers and they are now “re-reviewing” the agreement to reimburse us for the extra time and inconvenience. I will update if the reimbursement is received.

Family Time

The house is a 5 star. Property management responded quickly to our email on the shower door off track, pool light not working etc. However, the property management would state that the issue is forwarded to maintenance. Only issue visited was the shower door. We were told they would be back the next day to fix. Never came. Never heard from them. Customer service is the soul of a 5 start experience. Overall, the family had a great time. Just details were not addressed by maintenance or incomplete resolution.

Great property!

We loved this property, great location. Screened in porches and pool great to avoid the bugs. Would have loved to know ahead of time about option to use golf cart but was not evident in listing when I booked. Overall great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house has great proximity to the beach. Very well appointed and comfortable. Any issues we had during stay (A/C, fridge, lightbulbs out) were quickly addressed and resolved.

Great location and space

The house is in a wonderful location and has plenty of room for 2 to 3 families. The highlights of the house are location, the pool, the screened-in side porch and the basement movie/game room. The kitchen was well appointed and we appreciated the many beach towels provided with the house.

We loved this experience. The house was beautiful with plenty of space, conveniently located and had a wonderful screened in pool that everyone loved. Close proximity to the beach was a plus. We look forward to coming back next year.

Comfortable property

The property was good. We had older parents with us and the elevator was a must have. On the second floor there is a bedroom with a lower bed to get into so they were so happy. It’s got good spaces and was good for a group of family to stay. The beach is close. There were a few things not working and they took care of it ASAP.

the only thing I would suggest is a list for people to add to their grocery list. Salt/pepper/papertowel/coffee filters. Also need kitchen towels
