Bali Villa 1097 presides grandly over the lush rice terraces of Canggu, just minutes from a world-class surf beach and a vibrant collection of cafés, restaurants, and local warungs.

This elegant five-bedroom retreat, designed by acclaimed architect Glenn Parker, is a modern take on traditional Balinese architecture. The villa spans nearly an acre of tropical gardens, with a series of stylish pavilions offering abundant indoor and outdoor spaces perfect for families or groups of friends.

Every detail speaks of refined luxury – from Indonesian hardwood floors, Italian travertine, and Indian sandstone, to the hand-picked antiques, artifacts, and textiles. A glass-topped canoe buffet table nods to the villa’s name: bendega – Balinese for fisherman.

The double-height living room, with its enormous sofas, and the dining table that seats 20, set the tone for sociable gatherings. Each of the spacious bedroom suites features bespoke, colour-themed décor, supremely comfortable beds, and either rice field or private garden views. The fifth bedroom boasts an outdoor river-rock bathtub made for two.

The villa’s extensive facilities include a large swimming pool, a games room with pool table, and a library with 50-inch TV. Guests are cared for by a polished team of 17 staff, including an exceptional private chef. With an extensive suggestion menu, dining in becomes an experience in itself.
