Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour! Eladio et sa famille sont tellement accueillants, généreux et accommodants. Eladio est un passionné au grand coeur, qui adore son pays et qui adore le faire découvrir à ses visiteurs. Ce n'est pas pour rien que les excursions qu'il propose sont fantastiques. Demandez-lui ce qui vous tente, il connaît pleins de gens et pleins d'endroits merveilleux et hors des sentiers battus et il vous proposera différents itinéraires selon vos envies. À bord de son Land Rover, nous avons pu sillonner de nombreuses routes, souvent difficiles d'accès et parfois assez cahoteuses, et avons vu tellement de paysages à couper le souffle, comprenant petits villages dans les montagnes, volcans, rivières, couchés de soleil, animaux, etc... De plus, il nous a emmené manger à différents restaurants qu'il connaît bien et où nous nous sommes régalés et avons pu goûter à la cuisine locale. La maison qu'il loue est propre et confortable, mais sans flafla. Toute la famille a beaucoup apprécié la grande piscine entourées de belle végétation. Nous avons vu plusieurs iguanes, papillons, oiseaux et colibri sur le site. Il y a plusieurs commerces et épiceries à environ 10 minutes de voiture de la maison. Au besoin, Eladio se fera un plaisir de vous y conduire ou d'arrêter avec vous au retour d'une excursion. Nous revenons de notre voyage la tête pleine de merveilleux souvenirs! Eladio’s casita was clean and comfortable. It came with everything we needed. We enjoyed relaxing outside under the fans and by the pool. The best part of our time in Costa Rica was the jungle tour we took with Eladio, who we quickly realized was the unofficial mayor of Guanacaste! We had such a wonderful time with him, and can not thank him enough for sharing his beautiful home and showing us true pura vida! Our trip with Eladio was absolutely the highlight of our adventures in Costa Rica. He drove us around the backside of the volcano to small villages where we met kind and welcoming locals, at delicious food and had a once in a lifetime experience in the jungle. The trek itself was incredible, definitely bring hiking sandals and be fit and prepared for adventure with Eladio. He took us to a blue waterfall and canyoning to several hot waterfall pools, and then a relaxing soak in a warm pool surrounded by dense jungle and not a soul around. It was incredible. We enjoyed meeting Eladio’s friends and family and seeing a true glimpse of a side a Costa Rica most tourists will never see. We hope to return one day in the future with our children. Eladio showed us the true wealth and abundance in Costa Rica is kindness and love. And of course incredibly beautiful scenery.

Eladio is a wonderful guide and host. He drives you in a landcruiser to the most off the beaten track to experience authentic Costa Rica areas. The roads are rough and long but well worth the views and experience with wildlife and waterfalls that no tourists get to see. If are looking for a true "tico" experience, Eladio, is a master host. He lives life to the fullest; the true essence of PURA VIDA! He will take you to exquisite places and restaurants tourists never go. Eladio is in top condition. It is helpful that you are too. Bring earplugs because truck noise echoes from Hwy 1. We had a massage. Hiked in the jungle, Went to a waterfall, thermal pool, and a Pacific sunset. Eladio just wants you to be happy.

The property was just as described. Eladio is a great host with even better excursions. The first day we seen howler monkeys, macaws, white face monkeys and plenty of crocodiles. The parrots play in the trees right outside of the house along with the iguanas.

We spent our last 2 days out of our 7 day trip at eladios and the tour we took with Eladio ended up being our favorite part of the the trip. Eladio and his family are very welcoming and good vibes all around. The tour was an unforgettable very special experience. If you're looking for a tour away from the crowds and other tourists and you want to support the locals and taste authentic Costa Rican cuisine Eladios is the perfect place for you. Also the place was rustic, giant iguanas and beautiful birds and a very special spot. We can't wait to go back and see Eladio again.

We had a wonderful stay at Eladio’s place. Eladio and his family are amazing hosts and Eladio was there for anything that we needed or asked.Overall the property is wonderful, lush, the pool is amazing and the iguanas are extremely entertaining. We loved this very homey abode and were very comfortable here!It would be an advantage to have a vehicle as you’re not close to amenities but Eladio will take you places and is an excellent tour guide.The beds could use a little update but the entire place and surroundings far more than made up for it!

My biggest complaint is that this place was NOT advertised accurately on VRBO. No television, no laundry (they did however wash a load of laundry for us), no hot tub, one bathroom was outdoors, no oven. Older place but fairly clean. Buggy but it seems that is common in the area. Place sits next to a very busy highway. The road noise is almost unbearable. Location is good otherwise, close to 5 volcanoes and other sightseeing, one hour to the beach. 30 mins to Liberia airport. We hopted to leave early due to a family illness. A highlight of our stay was getting to see a troop of howler monkeys move through! were always conceraboble. Our stay was cut short due to

We chose Eladios Place based on reviews on his entire experience, from lodging, to distance from airport to amenities, like tours. Everything was exceptional and he welcomed us into his family from the minute we arrived. His tours bring you off the beaten path and you get to learn about the REAL Costa Rica....not some typical tourist resort where you have to do whatever cookie cutter tour they have available. His love of country and ecosystems shines through and we really enjoyed it. Exactly the experience we were looking for. Thank you Eladio's Place!

Hosts Eladio and Vanessa are amazing people. They make you feel like part of the family. Eladio offered an unbelievable amount insight and knowledge considering are staying in country for 5 months. If you are looking for a true Costa Rica adventure this is it. It is by no means a 5 star resort but comfortable just the same. We were there for 2 weeks. Unfortunately it rained every day, except for 2. Eladio took us to town whenever we needed - whether to eat or shop. We were able to take advantage of a couple of the tours. Beach trip and bird actuary were quite fun. The Chocolate factory tour was both informative and great tasting. The jungle hike to the volcano hot springs was a bit trying but well worth the effort. The hot spring pool was amazing. I highly recommend Eladio's Place and the fantastic tours

Our group had such a great time staying here. If you are looking to get a bit off the grid and not stay in a hotel, you should consider staying here. First of all, Eladio, the property owner is super helpful and considerate- helping you get the most authentic Coasta Rican experience possible. From tips on where to visit and shop, to hiring him as a local guide for a hiking experience to a hot spring waterfall that you will not find other tourists at. On this trip, we also stopped at a place for breakfast and lunch that had the best authentic Coasta Rican food of our entire stay. From cheese made the same morning at a dairy farm, to fresh, organic food with amazing spice, and fresh squeezed juice in the afternoon, this is not an experience our group will soon forget. Additionally, my mom and aunt loved spending time with Vanessa, Eladio’s wife, who took them to pick fresh fruit and herbs right off their property. We were very comfortable staying in Eladio’s house, which does have air conditioning and was helpful to us since we were not used to the humidity. The entire group also enjoyed use of the pool, which is in a beautiful setting. Our group loved our stay at Eladio’s house and wouldn’t change a thing.

We were lucky to find such a magical place to spend some time. The property is hard to leave as there are beautiful trees, flowers and birds to watch as you swim in or sit near the beautiful pool. Very easy access to many beaches each one being unique and providing a different experience. Several parks to explore rain forest in. As if all this isnt enough the best reason to choos this place are the people you will meet. Eladio and Vanessa are, quite simply, amazing and beautiful souls. I highly encourage you to go on tours with Eladio as he will take you to places and show you things that you will not find on your own. Will be returning! Pura Vida!!

It was my first time coming to Costa Rica. Per the reviews, I decided to come here because they mentioned Eladio would take you places, and I’m so glad I did! He is very cordial and friendly and honest. There is a slight language barrier, but he tries his very best to give you the best experience. For the home, for the excursions. All absolutely amazing. If you ever need anything, just reach out to him, and you’ll be taken care of. I’m very grateful I stayed here.

Eladios place was the perfect stay for me and my family. During our time we enjoyed time relaxing by the pool, and getting to know Eladio and his beautiful family. The hospitality they provided.....wow. I am forever grateful. Eladio provided many opportunities to explore. He is so passionate to share the beauty of his country and the wildlife. We spent many hours exploring the geography and the wildlife, never rushing- "tranquilo, tranquilo" with this, we were able to fully enjoy what costa rica has to offer. My favourite tour was the wildlife tour, but all were amazing. The house is tucked away about 15 minutes from Liberia. If you are looking for a quiet place, but in a central location to explore many of the national parks CR has to offer, this is a great spot. If you are looking for less of a tourist experience, and more of a local experience, and the bonus of meeting some wonderful people, I recommend spending time at Eladios place. Thank you Eladio, Vanessa and family, you all have pure hearts and we are so grateful you welcomed us so warmly to your home. I hope to see you again very soon, and wish you all nothing but the best in life!! Pura vida!!

As others have said, it's not a five-star resort. We had misgivings when we arrived. But, we ended up liking the house better than a hotel. My friend and I stayed in the smaller two bedroom house. It was quite comfortable with air conditioning in both bedrooms, comfortable seating, and a well equipped kitchen. The property is private (but right off Rte 1) and the bird song was incredible. There are lots of iguanas making appearance and even howler monkeys. We rented the house as we saw the host, Eladio, offered tours and said we wouldn't need to rent a car. Eladio took us to the grocery store the first night. We then went on two most excellent tours with him - Rainforest tour and Wildlife tour. Both were so unique - definitely off the beaten path and private. Eladio's vehicle is seasoned, so to say, and would not be acceptable to many. But, it worked out for our trip and we very much enjoyed getting a taste of Costa Rican life.
