Camarena de la Sierra is a town in Teruel that belongs to the Gúdar-Javalambre region and is located at an altitude of 1,294 meters above sea level.

It is located on the western slope, the steepest, of the Sierra de Javalambre. The landscape that surrounds it, is possibly the most genuine high mountain in the province of Teruel. Here the Camarena River is born, a tributary of the Turia River on its left bank, rich in trout and crabs and the River Eva.

It has important forests of pine and black pine, of great economic and landscape value. They also grow in their term junipers, holm oaks and maples. In the highlands of the Sierra there are valuable botanical endemisms. There is also a rich wildlife.
