« The Captain Whidbey is such a special place to stay on Whidbey Island. It’s a charming historic property surrounded by beautiful scenery. We stayed in a king lagoon room which had a beautiful view. The only negative is the mattress was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. But the property as a whole was lovely and don’t miss out on the restaurant. We had dinner & brunch there, both of which were fantastic. »

« Great location. Cleaning needs improvements. Unfortunately this wasn't very clean. The unit smelled of urine when i entered, the bathroom window had been left open. The shower wall had soap residue running down it and the shower shelves had hair, dust and soap build up. the pillow and sheets had hair on them. The fridge had crumbs on the shelves and there were cockroaches in the kitchen. The dining table had dried on food. The closet shelves had hair and dust on them. the »

« The internet was terrible, kept disconnecting. The jacuzzi was nice but it had this rule of not allowing anyone under 13 in it, and the swimming pool right next to it was really small. The breakfast was ok »

« A lot of unhoused, many wandering around the parking lot at all hours. Room service is nonexistent and when they showed up, it was just to drop off towels. Staff is nice, though. I definitely will not stay here again and do NOT recommend this property. »

« Sweet historic vibes. Outstanding walkable location. Great outdoor space out back. Nice staff. Comfy bed. If you’re not used to noise, the property can be a bit noisy. And though we appreciate ‘historic’, the rooms lean more towards deeply outdated than ‘vintage’. We would go again for the live music and a few drinks. But probably would choose to stay somewhere a bit more off the beaten path. »

« It’s called the Belmont Hotel on all the travel sites but when you get there, they say through the phone that it’s called Vacasa. This hotel is not open when you peek inside the windows of the hotel and front desk and no one around to assist. We had numerous calls trying to get someone to help us and everyone informed us they couldn’t help us until 4 o’clock when we could use a code that would be emailed to us privately to get into the hotel.
