This custom barndominium is perfect for Texas A&M sporting events and vacations! This beautiful home has an outdoor firepit area. Located right off Highway 36, the house is only 25 miles from College Station, 10 miles from Lake Somerville, and 35 miles from Round Top.

Plenty of room to park your boat after a day at the lake.

The property is very nice. It should be revealed that the property is about 180 feet off of a major highway that has 18 wheelers flying down all day and night. We could not enjoy the inviting covered patio in any way. It was a little messy as well. Mattresses need to be replaced as well.

Ups & Downs

The property manager was fabulous in communicating every time I reached out. The place was beautiful and was very clean. However, there were several things that could be improved on. First the pillows in the room to the right of the bathroom were horrible-flat; the bed in the room to the left of the bathroom had a horrible mattress-my daughter slept in there and was unable to sleep all night because it woke her up every time she moved/it made a crackling sound that was very annoying; the shower in the "only" bathroom has a very high step to get into it and the bottom was very slippery, (my husband nearly fell getting into it, he had to put a bath towel down in the bottom to keep from falling; we were unable to ever get any of the tv's to work-the one in the living room had instructions for 4 different controllers and one was not even there; there were no dishwasher or washing machine pods available; the house is located very close to a busy highway-making it difficult to sleep; the kitchen was not stocked well with needed items, lastly none of the clocks worked in the property. It did have a beautiful view and had nice lights around the whole property which made it easy to find at night. There was a nice sitting area to the side of the house with a fire pit, but we didn't have time to enjoy it. I did have trouble getting the front door to lock, so I called the property manager and he answered immediately and was able to help with the problem.(it was operator error)

Memorial Day Fun Time

I have stayed at this property several times and have never been disappointed. It is clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything we need. It is very close to Lake Somerville, where we spent our days. This property has all you need to have a fantastic vacation. We enjoyed hanging out by the fire pit in the evenings (there was no fire, this is Texas in May). I will be back. Jan

Great Place

The 2 bedroom 1 bath rental did not disappoint. It had a nice outside lounge area with fire pit and lightning made it a nice place to bond and relax. The inside was well furnished and comfortable. I recommend making this a stay when either doing something at A&M or in the area of Caldwell.

This was our 2nd stay at this property and once again it did not disappoint. The house is clean and decorated lovely with all that we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. We used this property as an overflow for a family get-together. We will stay again, just an amazing house and property.

Lovely Property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautifully decorated in a rustic but chic style, an open concept, that we loved and enjoyed. The house was well appointed with all that we needed. The AC worked great and the house was spotless and the property was well-maintained. There were instructions on how to operate all the TVs laid out for our convenience. The check-in and out process was easy with no fuss. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful getaway!

We loved this house! The only drawbacks were that it was right on Highway 36 so the road noise was a bit much and there was a gas grill in the pictures that was not actually on the property. My fault for not actually reading the amenities! We loved the fire pit and making smores. The bath tub is the thing that dreams are made of!

Bed in the deer room is very very squeaky. Batteries needs to be changed in remote to lights on ceiling fan in living room. And needs heavier trash bags for sure! Other than that we enjoyed it. Everyone was correct.. very close to a busy and noisy road but not a deal breaker.

Fantastic find! We were looking for a place that was pet friendly to stay while in Caldwell for my niece’s wedding! The owners were fantastic, accommodating and quick to respond! The place was super clean! We came straight from week long hunting trip so it was absolutely fantastic to arrive in a clean place to relax. There was an abundance of parking! Beautiful home, could be better stocked

We loved the barndumenian itself. We enjoyed the fire pit (although we had to buy our own firewood). We played cards at the poker table and roasted marshmallows at night. The kids enjoyed exploring the creak that lines the property. . We had a wonderful family vacation. Only issues were proximity to the highway (significant road noise), limited hot water for baths, empty hand soap bottle in the kitchen and no clothes washing detergent. Other issue (although this is a first world problem) was the complexity of turning on the TV. I’m sure this is one of the nicest properties in the Lake Somerville area and would definitely recommend it to anyone we know.

Sons, Father and Grandpa getaway

We had a great time at the house. The house seems practically new. It has a great open area that includes the kitchen, dining area and living room. The bedrooms are nicely appointed. The restroom is very clean and has a double sink. The highlight for us is the outdoor space. We grilled on the charcoal bar b q pit and enjoyed the lighted area at night. We also had the fire pit going. The front patio is a great space also. All in all it was a great time for the boys to bond. The only minor drawback is that its right on the road so traffic noise is a tad loud. All in All we highly recommend the house. It is very well appointed and comfortable. Thank you for sharing this place with us.

Quality Accommodation

We booked this barndominium for a couples getaway and anniversary. The property looked exactly like the pictures - which rarely happens - and the house was clean and well laid out. Conveniently located between Somerville and Caldwell, it's a great base for Brenham and College Station. The property is located on the road, so be prepared for traffic, and the beds were uncomfortable. There's no WIFI, so bring a hotspot if you really need access to the internet - otherwise enjoy being unplugged for the duration of your stay.
