Acorn Lodge - Luxury Cabin, Catskills

Summary:
Welcome to Acorn Lodge! This is the larger of two houses that sit on our property. The location is perfect for winter skiing, sledding, and snowboarding. In the fall, hike below the beautiful foliage, and in the spring/summer be sure to check out the nearby swimming holes, more hiking, antiquing, and local farms & vineyards.

The Space:
Enjoy your morning coffee gazing out of the large picture windows or an afternoon cocktail al fresco on our patio. We have everything you need for the perfect getaway, the perfect choice for your Catskill getaway, ski weekend, holiday gathering, friends/family reunion, fall foliage trip, and summer vacation.

THE SPACE
The Living Room is our favorite spot to enjoy in the house. Lounge on the sofas, switch on the Smart TV for movie night or the big game, or enjoy one of our board games with your group. The living room is adjacent to the kitchen and dining room, with a table large enough for your group to dine together.

Sleeping Arrangements
Acorn Lodge has 4 bedrooms and can sleep 8 guests. With 3 Queen Sized Bedrooms on the ground floor and 1 King Sized bedroom with ensuite bathroom upstairs, you will find room for your entire group to spread out. Our bedrooms feature Casper Mattresses, quality linens, and are thoughtfully decorated. Each bedroom has either a closet or a dresser for unpacking your personal items, and its own climate control so that guests can adjust to their individual preference.

The Kitchen
The Kitchen is equipped with all new appliances and finishes as well as cooking utensils, pots and pans, general spices, and basically all the tools you need to make morning pancakes, spaghetti bolognese dinner, and everything in between. (Groceries not provided.) For morning coffee, there is a coffee machine, please feel free to bring along your favorite roast. You will find all the dish ware, serve ware, and drink ware you need for your group to dine, but don’t worry, we have you covered with a dishwasher too.

Bathrooms
There are two bathrooms in Acorn Lodge. The downstairs bathroom has a double sink area separated from the toilet & shower with a pocket door (so more people can use the different areas at the same time). The second bathroom is located upstairs, nested within the Master Bedroom and also features a soaking tub for your relaxation. Both bathrooms have a rain shower head and body sprayer and are stocked with toiletries, a hair dryer, and super plush towels. Also in-unit is a washer and dryer for your use.

Outdoors
Step out the front door and you will find yourself on a wood deck with lounge seating for 8. If BBQ-ing is your thing, we have you covered with a propane grill. An extra tank is provided in case the one there runs low and needs to be swapped out. A few steps down to the yard is a fire pit surrounded with Adirondack chairs and twinkle lights for your entire group to gather around (limited firewood supply).

Guest Access:
Guest can enjoy the privacy of the entire house, private deck, and fire pit.

The Neighborhood:
Our home is nestled just above Kaaterskill Wild Forest, only a 25 min drive to Windham Mountain and approximately 30 min drive to Hunter Mountain.

There are two markets nearby as well as a wine & liquor store for your convenience. This house is so well located that you will find great Food & Drink options moments away, including Log Cabin Cafe, Red Rooster Roadhouse, O'Neill's Cafe, Dalton’s Donuts, Barnwood, Murphy’s Law, and Bistro 27.

Just a little further away (15 or so minute drive) you’ll find an even broader assortment including J&J Smokehouse BBQ, The Avalon Lounge, La Conca D'oro, 394 Main, New York Restaurant, Cone E Island Ice Cream, and so much more.

If you are looking for the great outdoors, there’s something for everyone - year round. At Kaaterskill Wild Forest (just 20 minutes away) you’ll find some of the best hiking New York State has to offer, with a variety of trails for all levels, and enjoyable through the different seasons of the year.

A 20 minute drive out and you will find yourself at Windham Mountain with 85 skiable acres and 54 trails over two peaks, 6 terrain parks and 11 lifts. Slightly further away you will find Hunter Mountain with 320 skiable acres, 67 trails, 13 lifts, and Hunter Mountain’s nearly 1000 feet long tubing hill, a “no-skills” fun activity for the whole family. In the summer, enjoy a day at Zume Flume Water Park or spend some time at North-South Lake Campground (just 30 min away) where you can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and playgrounds for the lil travelers. These are just a few of the fun activities that await you when you book your stay at Acorn Lodge.

Nearest train station: Hudson – 21min drive from the house location.

Nearest bus stop: RS Malden TRVL Plz – 27min drive from the house location.

There are Ubers that operate in Cairo NY: Lyft, Uber Connect, Lyft XL, Uber UBERX, and Uber Pet.

Other Things to Note:
IMPORTANT: There are two separate houses on this property. This listing is for Acorn LODGE the two story house, which is the first one you see when you drive onto the driveway. Other guests may be staying in the other house during your stay, utilizing the same driveway. The two houses are separated by a fence adorned with twinkle lights so that both groups have privacy from one another. Please reach out to us if you have any questions about this before booking.

CHECK IN
The check-in will be contactless and keyless. Before you arrive, we will send you the code to the door lock.

PARKING
Please feel free to utilize the parking spaces nearest to your house for the duration of your stay - it can hold up to 4 cars. There is an EV charger provided there as well which you are welcome to use. Note that we are not responsible for personal items left in your car.

HOUSE ACCESS
The entire house is yours for the length of your stay. Feel free to enjoy the private deck, fire pit and seating areas around the yard.

OUTSIDE GUESTS
If you'd like to add an additional guest to the booking, please be sure to add them to the reservation or reach out to Stay at Lina team if your stay has already begun. We can typically accommodate up to the max number of guests noted on the original listing and no more. We cannot offer customer service for extra people who don’t have an official reservation through the platform, and any liability waivers won’t apply. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS

SECURITY
Stepping out of the house? Keep your belongings safe and secure by remembering to close and lock all the doors and windows before leaving the property.

CHECK OUT
Our check-out time is at 11:00 AM. Please make sure to do the dishes (it’s ok to place the remaining dishes in the dishwasher and start the cycle), take the trash out and close the door before leaving. Don’t forget to do a final walk thru of the house to make sure you haven’t left behind any personal items.

RECYCLING
Guests can leave the recycling items on a separate bag in the house. Cleaning team will take care of it after guests leave.

ITEMS LEFT BEHIND
Please note that we are not responsible for any items left behind. Lina will make every effort to search and find your forgotten items after you check out but we do not guarantee if they can be found.

FRIENDS OF MOTHER NATURE
Please note that we are located in the countryside, surrounded by trees and foliage. Although we have regularly scheduled pest control services in and around the home and yard, you are still likely to see a few insects or other living beings from Mother Nature. We ask that you do your best to keep outside doors closed as much as possible to limit the amount of outdoor creatures from sneaking in.

PETS
We love pets and allow them in our houses, but please let us know if your are bringing your furry friend(s) along. Please understand that all of our furniture and decor is new and pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds. You will be responsible for any visible wear or damage your pets may cause. The maximum number of pets we allow is two.

REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
We cannot guarantee against mechanical failure of heating, air conditioning, appliances, TVs/media equipment, stereo equipment or pools/spas. Please report any inoperative equipment to us promptly. We will make every reasonable effort to have repairs done quickly and efficiently. If you demonstrate that the problem persists after being given phone instructions by our team, a maintenance service professional may be dispatched. NO REFUNDS OR RENT REDUCTIONS WILL BE MADE DUE TO MECHANICAL FAILURES OR MALFUNCTIONS, INTERRUPTIONS OF UTILITIES, MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS OR CONSTRUCTION IN THE AREA. WHILE LINA WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO REPAIR ANY MAINTENANCE ISSUE IN A TIMELY MANNER, IT CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THE ISSUE WILL BE FIXED DURING A GUEST STAY, AS THE COMPANY MAY HAVE TO GO THROUGH HOME WARRANTIES. Lina will always look for alternative solutions to ensure and prioritize guest comfort.
