Wonderful and charming house

Charming house - larger than the pictures suggest. Nice views from bedroom / balcony. Perfect hide-away for a couple of days in this nice environment. Pleasant communication with owner who lives near.

The home is absolutely gorgeous, with thoughtful details throughout. We've been to Monteverde a few times, and this has by far been our favorite place to stay. The atmosphere is peaceful, the surroundings are beautiful, and every corner of the home feels cozy and welcoming. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making this a truly special place. Monteverde Vacation

We loved our stay at Casa Mia and Monteverde. Our host was fantastic and provided us with many recommendations for the area. The house was clean and very comfortable for our family of four. Kitchen was very well stocked and the views from the windows were astounding. We even had a little coati pay us a visit just outside the kitchen window and we enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the birds.

Absolutely loved this place

We absolutely loved this place! All of the windows make you feel so connected with the beautiful nature outside. We enjoyed waking up in the mornings and seeing/listening to the birds. There was a nearby tree on the property with several nests of Montezuma Oropendolas which was a highlight of our stay. The space was clean and comfortable and our host Oscar was so friendly and kind. We hope to return on day if we revisit the area. Gracias Oscar!

Once a lifetime location and view

Although it is a bit challenging (for an average American) to get to the property via winding road (partly gravel and partly one lane), the view and location are stunning. The feeling of being in a middle of the forest with mountains and a stream running at the bottom of the valley, symphony of birds and moving leaves and cicadas. It all comes with panoramic views out of all living areas and bedrooms and all modern conveniences. Bathrooms and showers are nice and WiFi works well. Would recommend a 4x4 car to get there.We all loved it and would want to return.

Could not be better

This is our second stay at Casa Mia. We love the setting and the house fits us perfectly. From our balcony we could see lots and lots of birds, even a troupe of monkeys came through to entertain us. Oscar and his wife are great hosts. Fresh flowers in the house! Fresh eggs and a loaf of bread were enough for two breakfasts for the four of us. Comfy beds. Can’t ask for more! We’ll be back again.

Comfortable, fun house with an absolutely incredible view of the forest. The porches are perfect rain or shine and the extended yard down the trail is great for observing birds and butterflies. Felt immersed in the countryside. Close enough to town that going out is relatively quick and easy. Road into the house was in good shape.

Very very special place to stay

My wife and two teenage girls had a wonderful time at this special place. The house was well-outfitted, and there was space for all of us. The location cant be beat. You really feel like you're somewhere special and out of the way, but the drive into town and around to attractions was easy.

Gem in Monteverde

Lovely home on spectacular piece of property with trees and a stream right outside. A very rough road to get to the home taking 15 minutes from town. That was the only issue with the property. Otherwise it was perfect and the hosts left fresh bread, preserves and flowers. Thank you!

Wonderful home!! Perfect for two couples. Comfortable and well maintained! Best part was the setting. Beautiful, peaceful and lovely! We enjoyed walking the trails around the home and watching the birds from the decks off the bedrooms. Short drive to Santa Elena and plenty of restaurants closer. Kitchen was small but workable with 2 burner induction system & toaster oven.

Beautiful private home in Monteverde

Nestled in the cloud forest, this beautiful well-appointed home was perfect for our 3 days in Monteverde. Oscar was easy to communicate with before and during our trip. We arrived to find fresh eggs and delicious homemade bread in the kitchen. It was a quick drive into town, close to attractions and restaurants. It was hard to leave this wonderful place!
