Just 9 miles to the north, the village of Castleton is home to the fantastic Blue John Cavern. The historic spa town of Buxton is 9 miles west, and home to the famous Buxton Opera House, The Pump Room, Poole’s Cavern, Solomon’s Temple and Buxton Crescent. This is an ideal base if you are planning to visit Buxton's International Music and Arts festival in July.
