'This was, I think, the creepiest place I've ever stayed. I do have to mention that the woman at the front desk was absolutely lovely--but she was the only good part of my stay. There were a couple of the tiny roaches in my shower both times I showered (I had to stay two nights). My door looked like it had been mangled in a knife fight. The hallway looked, no joke, very much like the hallway in The Shining. I felt safe enough, like physically, once I had locked the doors-- but it felt very dirty...

'We had such a great stay! The staff were friendly and we were allowed a late checkout. They really paid attention to detail as we had had asked for specifics and they accommodated us and made us both feel at home. Loved the hot tub and the cleanliness of the room. This place is a gem and we will be back!!!!'

'My spouse and I had a wonderful stay at Maurrocks. Very nice friendly atmosphere created by two outstanding persons, Tom and Maureen. They really made our entire trip. Can't say enough about the way Tom and Maureen made us feel right at home. Our Yellow Room was clean and comfortable. Living room with fireplace and dining area are amazing. Real gem! Hope to get there again.'

'One of the most pleasant hotels stays I’ve ever had. Remarkably clean, very modern. They even provided ear plugs in the room for sleeping since they are located on a busy street- I thought that was a nice touch. The only thing that would have improved our stay was if there had been better protein options at breakfast. '
