  • A 2 bedroom top floor holiday apartment in Brixham with a large balcony and spectacular sea views.

    This gated development of apartments overlooks the beautiful Fishcombe Cove. Plover 2 is a top floor apartment, sitting on the second row. For walkers, you couldn`t get closer to The Southwest Coastal Path, including scenic local 11-mile routes from Brixham to Dartmouth in one direction, and Brixham to Babbacombe in the other.

    Inside, the property has a colourful scheme and a semi-rustic feel with warm, sunny accents throughout. There`s something for everyone, including a telescope to enhance the views of the water, the end of the breakwater, or the clearer night skies that come with this rural environment. The kitchen combines modernity with touches including a provided radio to try out the local stations, including Riviera FM.

    The glass-front balcony — easily accessed from the lounge — offers a spot to enjoy the provided furniture with your friends and family, enjoying a glass of wine and soaking up the sea air.

    This family-friendly property means no loved one need be left behind. A travel cot and high chair is provided. Children will love to swim and play in the development`s heated outdoor pool. Returning guests to the Bay often choose The Cove again!

    Location information

    The Cove is a stone`s throw away from the Battery Gardens. There is a local bus service from the nearby Mount stop (2-minute walk) for those not fancying the longer 15-minute stroll into the harbour. From the harbour you can then catch a ferry or bus to the wider Torbay and South Devon area, including destinations such as Torquay and Dartmouth. Torquay then offers access far beyond via the Great Western Railway.

Love this place

We love this place and have stayed here many times. However, it’s time for some investment the fire alarm is far too sensitive and sets off when cooking toast and beds have seen better days and become uncomfortable. The fridge requires repairs and sits at an angle and the food falls out. The location is fabulous. I recommend this to anybody.

Excellent Location & views

Even though this is set back from the other appartments on the front, you still get a great view of Torbay. The appartment was clean and welcoming and we had no issues during our stay. A short walk from Brixham Harbour and the on site pool is well kept and highly recommended - weather permitting! Would stay again.

Wonderful views

Stunning location but disappointed that there wasn't a freezer and the freezer box in the fridge was very iced up, almost unusable. I think the website could have been more explicit about the facilities in the apartment. Also the shelf in the fridge door was cracked and needs fixing.

Sea views and starry skies!

Fabulous views and large terrace to watch the fishing boats, the sea and stars. The apartment is stocked with everything you could need, cute and compact. Great to have onsite parking and the proximity of forest walks with glimpses of the sea, Brixham town close too.. We highly recommend Plover 2 and The Cove.

Plover 2 - The Cove, Brixham

Beautifully decorated two bedroom apartment with sea view/balcony and allocated parking (added bonus as private parking very limited in Brixham) Fully integrated kitchen, tea towels/washing up liquid provided plus books/games/throws in the lounge area. The complimentary fresh milk/box of shortbread was a nice touch especially after a long journey. Informative Email correspondence including relevant gate/door codes and local restaurant suggestions. Extremely quiet, we were the only visitors in the block but it was the end of November. No doubt much busier during the summer. Lovely soft large towels and a great hot shower. Tip: Wi-Fi password is in a photo frame under the TV. Negative: We didn’t sleep very well as found the pillows too hard (this is more a personal preference so may not affect others) Be careful on the steps outside, it was rather dark - not sure if there was a switch for the outside stair light but it wasn’t on/working. Overall, highly recommended - we would stay again.

It was exactly as stated

The sea view from lounge and bedroom is indescribable, excellent, relaxing, exhilarating, what more can I say, I could live here with this view every morning. The apartment was exactly as advertised. It was modern, clean, had everything needed, a home from home. Good communication with owners before and during stay. Check in easy with all codes supplied. We would book again if returning to this area, wokk uk ld recommend to others. Excellent value for money in February.

Lovely location in a once great apartment

We stayed here a number of years ago, and it literally hasn’t changed. The fridge is at an angle and the dishwasher is broken. Whilst as stated we had no hot water which wasn’t a problem as we used the kettle and shower. The apartment and location together make it super value but it could be so much more.

Faultless.

Lovely clean chalet with more nice little extras and bits and bobs that you’d expect to make you feel welcome. Handover was faultless, everything was clean and as described. What more can you ask for? If I had to add one thing, it would be a TV in the bedroom but that’s me being ridiculously picky, and with the view out of the doors, I can see why one isn’t included. Perfect stay, will be back next year.

Nice house at a fine location

On the house : Nice comfortable house at a great location. The interior is beautiful and the house is very complete. The terrace is facing north east, so only in the morning there is sun. On My Brixham Holidays: customer service was not responding on my mails (even after reminders) shortly before arrival. So I wonder what happens in case of problems.

Beautiful location, but…

The location of the property was great, few steps away from the Fishcombe beach which we have enjoyed. On our arrival however the keys to the property were not ready and that cause a bit of stress, but raised concerned as we then found two other keys (one from another property in our apartment - lack of management); property didn’t feel like it was cleaned very well, in particular the bathroom and overall it is in need of freshening up. Our bed was a small double - very uncomfortable, Soft mattress, we barely slept. Oven wasn’t heating up, shower - too cold or too hot and very low pressure…swimming pool, heated? It was really cold! Overall the property had beautiful view and was in a good location.

Lovely accommodation but needs a little TLC.

Pros: The apartment is lovely, well equipped and has everything you need. It’s in a lovely location and very warm and cosy. Loved the little finishing touches like the spotting scope, milk in fridge, coffee machine etc. Nice private path that leads to a wonderful little beach and in a gated area which felt secure. The apartment is also nice and clean in most areas. It really is a lovely little place so please don’t be put off by the negatives it’s just to make everyone aware and hopefully the owners will read this and rectify. Cons: The apartment was full of cobwebs and spiders. And I mean FULL. I’m unsure why there were so many but they were everywhere you looked. The apartment is obviously being cleaned but clearly not being dusted for cobwebs. My daughter was absolutely terrified so I had to go around and clear as many as I could (so hopefully it’s nice and spider free ready for the next person). I’m assuming the owners have cleaners going in for them and maybe they just haven’t noticed but I honestly can’t believe how many there were and some of them were BIG and scary looking. When I rolled the blinds down they were all in the blinds too and we’re just dropping onto the floor (in all rooms) and the blind in the bedroom had loads of spots of blood over it from where the blinds were being rolled up and squashing them. Once I rolled them down and realised I quickly rolled them back up so my daughter didn’t see and we just used the curtains. Under the bed was a stack of old tiles and cement that had been dumped there for some reason. Also a lot of dust. The toilet is not attached to the floor properly so when you sit on it, it feels like it’s going to fall over. It scared my daughter half to death (in all fairness it made me jump a couple of times) so she refused to use it where we had to keep going to the holiday park next door to use there’s. A couple of bits were broken (cover for key safe, dishwasher tablet dispenser etc) nothing major and doesn’t affect the stay at all. I think the owners just need to spend a few days in there to find all the floors and rectify. I would re visit as we had a lovely stay but they would have to sort out the issues first.
