Located at the end of a row, Swift Cottage is a beautiful property situated next to Sewerby Hall, a Grade I listed Georgian country house open to the public. The cottage has a sitting-out area, and there is a large grassed area at Sewerby where you will see many children playing. As well as stunning gardens, there is also a zoo, café and delightful picnic areas, as well as a land train that takes you along the clifftops down to Bridlington. The children will love the ride and it’s a lovely stroll back to the property.



Bridlington is a traditional seaside resort with a busy working harbour and a long sandy beach. Keep the children entertained with sandcastles, rock pooling and donkey rides on the beach, and for the adults, there are plenty of bars and restaurants, as well as the Spa Theatre along the seafront, where international acts play. North of Sewerby are Bempton Cliffs, with nature trails and an educational centre. You can see the puffins, guillemots, kittiwakes and the odd seal lazing on the rocks. The popular resorts of Filey, Flamborough Head, Scarborough and Whitby are along the coast and within easy reach. The vibrant city of York is less than an hour away, as is Hull, the 2017 City of Culture. Beverley and Driffield have excellent market days and there are plenty of stately homes within a short drive. This holiday property is in the perfect location from which to explore the North York Moors, Yorkshire Coast and the Yorkshire Wolds. Beach 150 yards.
