'We liked location & quietness, especially since it’s a larger property. The Haystack Bar & Bistro had wonderful crunchy chicken wings, but my salad with added chicken was terrible, the chicken was chewy, not good. I didn’t eat. The server did offer me if I wanted something else, but the damage was already done. The salad was not removed from the bill or discounted. The modern rooms are designed well, with a huge lake wall art & unique lighting. Overall, a wonderful stay.'

'The Hampton Inn Lake Placid is a resort - not only is it close to the Main Street shops and reataurants but the hotel itself had movie nights, kids activities, complimentary drinks and warm chocolate chip cookies and live entertainment on a Saturday night.'
