'Breakfast is not very varied, especially for long staying guest a disappointment. Also one type of fruit, yellow bananas at the beginning of the week, till they are brown in the weekend. '

'The location was great for our business. The rug was old and dirty. The furniture was old and outdated. The bathroom was also outdated, with rust around the mirrors. The bedding was not as clean and crisp as other hotels.'

'My room was never cleaned the whole time I stayed there from 05/14 to 05/18. The bed was never changed. It was uncomfortable and quite disturbing. I asked one of the hotel staff up front why my room wasn't cleaned and I was told they only did every other day. The hotel staff was usually helpful and nice but some were not. 'Ik had voor een rookvrij kamer gevraagd. Ik heb een rokers kamer gekregen en die stonk behoorlijk. De kamer was behoorlijk vies. Er waren kruimels op de vloer dus en de lakens stonk ook. Later in de week had ik eindelijk een rookvrij kamer gekregen maar die was ook vies en er waren restjes van anderen mensen op de vloer. De gangen van het motel waren sowieso vies. Ik ga daar nooit terug. Voor het geld had ik een kale maar schoon kamertje verwacht.'

'Crazy rates during University events (ie. move in/move out, graduation wknds) so its tough to avoid the ridiculous prices during these dates. The convenience of location is what makes this a prime spot to stay. The gym is actually pretty decent if no one else is in there, and the pool is pretty funny - its like 5 feet long, 5 feet wide, and almost 5 feet deep - a cube of water to dip in, right in there basement garage area.'

'Room was very clean. Refrigerator was cold and ready. Only thing I didn't like was the bed it was so hard it was like sleeping on a hard floor.'

'This is the second time I have stayed at the Oaklander. The first time there were stains all over my sheets. They were changed. This time the pillows were wrinkled and did not smell fresh. I had to request new pillow cases. It’s a beautiful hotel but when they tell you they are inspecting your room before you go in beware, you better inspect it yourself. Housekeeping was very courteous when they changed the pillow cases. One bright point. Very disappointing for such a beautiful hotel.'

'Zeer ruime en compleet ingerichte kamers, dichtbij restaurants en winkels. De ontbijtfaciliteit was standaard, niet speciaal, maar wel afdoende. Alleen betaald parkeren, maar wel overdekt. Qua locatie was het voor ons erg centraal naar attracties en winkelcentra. '
