Hotel has so much potential as the backdrop for a relaxing vacation. It is a top notch facility- beautiful, well maintained, great location, it even offers unexpected delights like serving lemonade while waiting to check in.
But you just can’t quite relax at this hotel due to the rigid guest rules (for example hotel has a no guests policy for the pools even if they are willing to pay a fee and sign a waiver), and the staff pressures you if you arrive at 2:01pm for a 2:00 pm shuttle to the airport (even if you arrive so early you end up waiting at the airport for two hours before your flight).
Also the basics are missed everywhere: no secondary privacy locks on the hotel room doors, sanitizer at the elevator but none at the serve yourself breakfast buffet that has no bathrooms or sinks nearby to wash your hands, a consistent lack of available clean towels next to both of the pools across two days, someone mopping the lobby yet no place to wipe your feet when coming in from outside rainy rooftop deck areas, resulting in dangerous (slippery) and messy conditions when walking on front lobby tiles. On multiple occasions it took over 40 minutes to fill a basic food drink order, and served my burger to a different table. In the middle of lightning rainstorm they didn’t even clear the rooftop pool of visitors to keep them safe (I observed this from my room). No convenience store, no outside food allowed, even from local restaurants! not somewhere I’ll stay again.
