Great Location

Great location and price. Very clean. There were no bath towels in the unit and it was a task to have to reach out for additional towels and toilet paper. Nice place. Would stay there again.

The group running these apartments are super professional and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and appreciated. They are detail oriented and helped me with all my needs. The building is modern, 3 elevators and 24/7 profesdional security and receptionists. The apartments were well apointed, modern and comfortable. At first I was leery as there were only 2 reviews but they put all my douts to rest the minute I got there. I have traveled the world and stayed at thousands of locations and these guys treated me at least as good as many 5 star hotels. I would definitly return hete if I return to Bogota. The only downside is the building faces Parque de los Hippies, which is VERY noisy all night. My first room was on the 3rd floor and I couldnt sleep due to the noise. The next day they moved me to the 10th floor where I slept great for the next 7 nights. Centraly located near many meuseams, shopping centers and resturants. If you are looking for a safe, clean modern appartment in this area, look no further.

AVOID: Bait and Switch

This property is run by La Manada Apartments, which apparently owns a couple of condos in Academia Aprtamentos. I learned a bit too late that La Manada does a terrible job managing their rentals. The listing indicates that if you arrive after 10, there will be different checkout procedures. It wasn’t until I was mid flight day of my checkin that they sent a message saying no one is available to help with checkin after 9. Given our international flight landed at 8 pm, there was zero chance we’d be there by 9, but they provided an emergency number for any issues. We got there at 9:15 pm, and security for the building (NOT affiliated with La Manada) took our passport info and we went upstairs to learn that: room we were given was not as pictured (it was VERY dated); bathroom was filthy, walls had splatter marks and stains, mold and mildew around the sink, and no toiletries; kitchen backsplash was dirty and had a booger on it; sofa was a tufted pullout that definitely had bodily fluid dried and crusted in the center tufting and in the arm; exposed wires and cables next to the sofa; sliding glass door to the balcony didn’t latch, let alone lock, so zero sound proofing OR safety bc the balconies to other units were connected; there was an old cracker just sitting on the shelf in the closet; multiple hairs in the bedsheets. All in all: GROSS. I contacted the emergency and main lines numerous times, but got no one. I wasn’t really able to sleep bc I didn’t feel safe PLUS the noise.

La experiencia fue muy mala. Llegamos al alojamiento, pero el anfitrión nunca apareció para recibirnos y nunca respondió nuestras llamadas ni mensajes. Expedia también intentó comunicarse con él, pero tampoco obtuvo ninguna respuesta. Cuando llegamos al lugar, el personal de recepción nos indicó que ni siquiera conocían al anfitrión ni reconocían el número de teléfono que aparecía asociado a la reserva en Expedia, por lo que tampoco pudieron ayudarnos ni darnos ninguna información. Ante la falta total de comunicación y de una solución, tuvimos que buscar otro hospedaje de último momento. Hasta el día de hoy, el anfitrión nunca se ha comunicado con nosotros ni nos ha dado ninguna explicación sobre lo ocurrido. Fue una situación muy incómoda e inconveniente durante nuestro viaje, especialmente porque nos dejó sin alojamiento y tuvimos que resolverlo por nuestra cuenta. Considero que hubo una falta total de comunicación y atención.
