Chalets in Boa Island

'From the mom ent you arrive you feel immersed into the culture and people of Northern Ireland. The proprietor, Catherine, welcomed us into her home, offering tea and home-baked sweet-cakes, a lively discussion of the history and workings of the local establishment. We felt pampered, such a warm welcome. The room, beds/linens was ao comfortable, with plenty of amenities. Breakfast was made to order, generous and very delicious. Carherine leaves nothing out, paying close attention to details....

'We zaten in het bijgebouw in een soort rijtje hotelkamers. Fijn dat er een keukentje bij zat. De kamer was klein en het bed nam bijna de gehele ruimte in beslag. Het grootste probleem was de gehorigheid van de andere kamers.'

'Host entered our locked room while we were gone to draw the shades and turn our tv off. Invasion of privacy. Also, beware if you come here in the winter, host is a penny pincher and won’t keep the heat on in the house past 10pm. We were absolutely freezing and had to leave the accommodation because it was far too cold for our children. He refused to turn it on. '

'Wij vonden het erg prettig om twee nachten te verblijven in dit hotel. Fijn kamers, aardig personeel een goed en uitgebreid ontbijt. Ook waren zijn wij erg onder de indruk van de stad en de omgeving tocht over het water/ kasteel en het geopark moeten we nog doen). Wij gaan zeker nog een keer terug.'

'It was a beautiful location. The cottages are well equipped. There was a bit of a musty smell. I think that could have been the carpets in the bedrooms and sitting area. Wooden floors would be more hygienic. Having the hotel so close was the effect for the leisure centre and bar! A great weekend all considered and I will be back!'
