'Amazing lodge to explore the Shamwari Game Reserve. While it was quite a ride to reach the lodge, every bump on the gravel road was totally worth it. 'Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht von der Lodge. Die Anfahrt ist mit einem normalen PKW eigentlich unzumutbar und bei vorherigem Regen nicht machbar! Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist sehr schön, aber das war’s dann auch schon! Die Unterkünfte sind deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und bedürfen einer Modernisierung. Das Personal ist bemüht, aber nicht sehr geschult und wirkt teilweise unbeholfen. Das Abendessen (in Buffetform !) war wohlwollend betrachtet bestenfalls durchschnittlich, das Frühstück...

'What can we say this place took our breathe away! Such a beautiful setting with the accommodation set right amongst the natural surroundings of how these animals should be seen. The staff again like at Tsala in Plettenberg were amazing and can’t do enough to help you during your stay and after too. The guides are extremely knowledgable and welcome all questions and make you feel very comfortable and at ease during the game drives. For anybody wanting a unique safari experience with game animals...

'Een verblijf midden in het private game resort. De perfecte uitvalsbasis voor safari's: Je ben er als eerste en laatste. Slapen in de tent met de dieren en geluiden om je heen. Er zijn slecht 3 prima uitgeruste tenten en samen met de persoonlijke aandacht van de koks en rangers voelt het als op avontuur met een clubje vrienden. Een aanrader.'

'The room was a little back room in the house.I feel the host host pleasant enough but I felt like I was in jail with the high walls and fencing. This is not what I expected for a property advertised on Expedia. I had read the other reviews, not sure if they were family of the host or were genuine but I can not agree with the good reviews I saw.'
