Location was good for us to our destination. Parking and driveway we steep as expected in mountains, and close to our #2 rental. Lots of ice in the parking area still, with salt /dirt to help with traction, slippery still. No snow anywhere else. Unit was small compared to others we have stayed at in Boone. Fit all four of us comfortably, once we moved/slid the couch between the living room and dining room, as we switched out area of need, for the night.. TV was difficult to operate and power was unplugged as well as a loose HDMI cable, which we fixed after 15 min of messing with it. And 3 remotes were provided 1-with batteries 1-with one of two batteries, 1 with no batteries lol- we figured it out but was an attention to detail that was missing for us. A bath fixture was broken and on the floor when we arrived as well. Doors to both bedrooms were not hung correctly and would not stay closed by themselves. Blinds in the windows, in one bedroom (no windows in Other bedroom) were also not hung correctly and allowed a 3inch gap for sun in the room at early AM. Gas fireplace was working and a plus- base board heat and fans were great as well. Host was informative and responsive to our email and text for our arrival. Unit is dated but clean and well kept and has plenty of kitchen tools. Linen and towels, and were nice we had plenty with extras if we needed them. Check in was 4pm check out 10am which worked for us on our one night stay and was 33 minutes from our destination.
