Needs really renovation, windows don't close completely, cold wind continuous enters the room. Staff at reception not qualified during check in as check out (costs for accomdation 2x invoiced, no possible to pay in cash)

Wonderful Victorian architecture. Loved the photographs of all of the Royalty, politicians and celebrities that have stayed there. Large, well equipped bedrooms. Just a little tired but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were both really good. Excellent service and very friendly staff.

Nice hotel on North shore, little bit out of town centre but only a few minutes walk. There is a charge for parking, but its not huge £9 per night. (Have to enter reg on system)The staff were very welcoming and provided all the info you would want on arrival. The room was not the biggest but didnt feel crowded, only downside to the room was the number of plug sockets. Restaurant was quiet for our evening meal but it was midweek, the food was of a high standard and very nice. Over all a really nice stay would definitely consider coming back.

Amazing hotel with lots of character, rooms lovely. Whole hotel soo clean and tidy. Nice bar if a bit pricey for soft drinks. But nightly entertainment of which i dropped on a great singer which we had a fab night singing along and dancing. Staff all so friendly and helpful. Will be my go to hotel in blackpool from now on, worth paying that bit extra than 'brand' names just for the feel of this historic hotel.

We stay here regularly and love it! But this time we are so disappointed. Paid in cash then got locked out of room as apparently we’d not paid! Wait to get it sorted and evidence eventually found! Service definitely not as good as before :( It’s an ideal location.

Decent service, awful rooms
First of all, the staff are friendly and generally on the ball. However, The check in process did take a long time and we were then handed our keys. The room on the 4th floor was a sea-view room, but room 405 has a window akin to a prison cell, with no curtains on it, but a light-coloured blind, so when the spotlights come on at night, it is hard to sleep with all the light coming in. Also the room is excessively hot and the corridors are likewise. They must be chucking money down the drain just heating these common areas. We were moved to room 402, which has a rotting window frame, and has had sealant used on it, so that it can't be opened. Another hot and cloying night was not great. We ended up checking out early due to two bad night's sleep. Also, £9.00 a day car park charge, which is hard to find info about when booking. No refund given for the last day when we left early. I would not recommend.

Nice Stay.
Fantastic greeting upon arrival, helpful staff, friendly and efficient, hotel old but charming and kept clean at all times, never went without fresh linen and towels and a lovely breakfast. Only down points room to hot and if room is north facing blinded by sunlight so difficult to relax in room without drawing the curtains during the day.

Lovely heritage property just north of the North Pier. Walking distance to everything. Wonderful breakfast. Two very friendly and helpful male receptionists. The hotel is a bit tired from age, though, but many properties of that vintage are. Two complaints - one being that our loo didn't flush terribly well, and our request for maintenance did not resolve the issue. The other is that I felt that £14.10 was a bit inflated of a price for two gins and tonics ordered at the bar on our first night (not sure if the barman upped us to a premium gin without saying so). Still, the stay was satisfactory overall, and we'd be willing to give the Imperial another try on a future visit.

Lovely Christmas stay for 3 nights. Our sea view room was lovely, clean, large comfy bed, lots of storage and lovely and warm. The breakfasts were excellent, great quality and so much choice. The staff were all very friendly and so helpful. Would definitely highly recommend this hotel and will return in the future.

We love room 328, there were some cobwebs on the ceiling but they are very high ceilings. Massive gaps in sash windows but again, a very old beautiful building, so to be expected. Toasters constantly on in dining room, so not eco friendly and they are useless, They provide coloured bread, nothing more! Fantastic location, great having a live singer in the bar. All the ones we saw were very good. Rooms always quiet regardless of how busy the hotel is. We do love this hotel!
