Charged My Card, No Place to Stay – Horrible Experience
I booked this property through VRBO, received a confirmation email, and was charged on my credit card. When I arrived for check-in at 4:00 PM, I had received no access instructions, no communication from the host, and no way to enter the property. I tried the “Contact Host” option on VRBO with no response.After digging around, I finally found a WhatsApp number and left a message. Over an hour later, someone named Mikey Small replied, saying they had no record of my booking—despite me having full confirmation and proof of payment. He offered no meaningful explanation, no apology, and no support.We were traveling internationally, completely stranded, and had to scramble to find last-minute lodging in a city where almost everything was booked. It cost us significantly more and created a stressful, avoidable situation.There was zero accountability, zero communication, and zero concern from the host. This was a terrible experience—one I wouldn’t wish on any traveler.
