'Wow, what a place! Loved our room with patio and the views were just to die for. Great view of the Ella waterfall which you could hear from the property. The owners were lovely and very helpful. Lovely cup of tea on arrival and water whenever you need it. Breakfast was amazing and huge. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Ella as it was nice and peaceful and oh, did I mention those views!'

'We spent 3 nights there with my family of 5 in two rooms. We found the location difficult to find on the evening we arrived as it was dark and raining. When we arrived we were met by the owner and his staff who helped us with the bags to the room. Given the location we were met by lots of bugs near the room entrance as the hallway lights were on. 'The property was fine but there were two things that stood outabout our stay. Firstly it was a quiet location with fabulous views. Secondly and most significantly, the couple that ran the hotel where absolutely charming and extremely helpful. They made a meal for us when we arrived which was delicious and the helped arrange a tuk tuk for a morning of touring. We found all the people we dealt with in Sri Lanka were welcoming and nice, but this couple stood out as extra special.'

'Der Weg zur Unterkunft führt erst mal über einige stufe. Jedoch beleuchtet und mit Geländer. Empfangen wird man von einem etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Gebäude und spritzbetonboden. Davon sollte man sich aber nicht abschrecken lassen. Nihal, de manager, verteld je met alle liefde over zijn land en over de Do's en de Dont's. Hij geeft jou het gevoel van vakantie en een beetje meer! 'This place is magical! Truly a stay in the jungle. There’s no road to the cabin so the last part you have to walk on the railway. However the staff were really helpful and carried our suitcases the whole way - so do recommend to pack lightly. The place was amazing and the staff were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend! '
