'This is a new property in Kastraki, which is a 15 min walk or 5 euro taxi ride from the town of Kalambaka. Kastraki is a small, quaint village at the foot of the monasteries in Meteora. There is a lovely family run restaurant just at the end of the road, and a bakery across the street. The rooms themselves are well designed, modern and comfortable. For a fee, ask about late check out. It’s very much worth it given the transportation options out of Kalambaka. I’d definitely come back again!'

Great restaurant up the street - Meteron Panorama (try the steppe cow steak and smoked black pig). Worth spending 2 nights after hiking 11 miles.'

'We hebben genoten in dit hotel, het personeel was zeer gastvrij. De dame van de receptie nam alle tijd om uit te leggen hoe het bij de kloosters ging. We kregen een boek te leen wat we de dagen mochten gebruiken dat we in het hotel waren met beschrijvingen van de kloosters en dat in het nederlands de kamers zijn prima, goede bedden en douche. Heerlijk ontbijt. Restaurants zijn in de buurt en met 5 min. Met de auto ben je in het stadje '

'We had a amazing time at Iridanos! In our opinion the best place to stay when visiting Meteora. It’s located slightly out of town which is great in terms of parking and silence at night. Still, going into town takes just about 10-15 minutes on foot. Everyone at the guesthouse is so friendly and helpful and breakfast is amazing. Overal, great value for your money. Definitely book here for your trip to Meteora !'

'We got a very nice room. Owner of hotel knew we will come with an infant of 1 years old and therefore gave us a bigger room. We had a very nice kitchen and everything was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Don't expect a luxureus breakfast but for us was just perfect. The location was very good. We went for hiking to meteoro and start was from hotel. '

'Great location easy to find. Staff on arrival very helpful, not so when leaving.The argument as to if we’d paid the bill was pretty embarrassing for them. Room was ok good view of the monasteries. Breakfast was ok. No tea or coffee in the room had to use room service. Overall good value for money.Free parking on site, but we used the car park opposite. Plenty of restaurants and bars further up from the hotel.'
