They didn't offer a refund, nor did they offer any clarity before we checked in that this would be our reality. 'Hideaway Bay is a great little spot. We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage itself was very clean and nice. The beach is quite rocky so you need shoes to walk around and for the water (especially for little kids). It was great to have access to loungers and umbrellas. The beach bar was delivered food and drinks right to you on the beach, I would suggest putting side tables with the beach furniture so people have a place to put their drink down. 'True rustic getaway! We rented to stay nearby our relatives for a family visit and the cabin was perfect for us. All new kitchen and bathroom, plus lots of windows to enjoy the adjacent field and wooded area. Saw deer, rabbits, a fox and several bird species while relaxing on the spacious front deck. Spectacular sunset views a short walk up the driveway. Host was quick to accommodate any requests. Would definitely return!'
