We loved the amazing snorkelling straight off the resort beach and hired kayaks to go to the Matevalu blue hole which is stunning. The staff were really helpful and friendly. 'In Luganville zijn er maar 2 middenklasse hotels, de Espiritu en Hotel Santo, dus veel keuze is er niet. De Espritu ligt in het centrum van Luganville, 10 minuten rijden van het vliegveld vandaan. De ontvangst en de overige ruimten zien er wat simpel uit en zouden wat onderhoud kunnen gebruiken. De kamer daarentegen is prima. 'The stay was amazing. Our accomodation was just above the ocean with the awesome view on the other island. Josephine and Klass are great hosts and they went above and beyond to make our stay as nice as possible. Make sure to contact them before your stay there so they can organize your transport. Pick up is from the starfish restaurant which is also a great place to have a drink or two and try some kava 😊 the plantation has a local cat Oreo who is very cuddly. 'We stayed for 5 nights, which I think was about perfect - enough time to relax but not so long that we were bored on such a small island. The reef was beautiful and had lots of different corals, along with loads of fish. We don't dive so we snorkelled each day. We took our own masks but used Bokissa's flippers, which were excellent. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Whilst there was a child there (12 year old) while we were there, it seemed much more suited to couples.'
