'Good basic clean motel. Large room. Parking at your door. Friendly staff. Tiny shower & bathroom. Plenty of hot water. Coffee & tea in office. Good price.'

'My boys loved the place! The kayaks, fishing rod and fire pit were great. However the smell of pet urine and perfume covered the carpets. There was a film ontop of the carpets almost like a wax and we had to keep socks on. I see past guests said the same thing but the claims were dismissed as bad guests. The scent is a real problem, please change the flooring so guests can fully enjoy the experience.'

'Place is a bit dingy - stale smell in halls (but, hey, it's an old historic hotel). Price a bit high for quality - friend's air conditioner held up by wooden boards. Lots of raucous drinking in bar below (but not rowdy or unpleasant). However, right downtown - next to fabulous restaurants - and possibly the friendliest, kindest staff we've ever encountered.'

'We had a great time here. It was 20 minutes away from Saint Andrews, a nice coastal village, and the hotel itself had a comfy room, nice hot tubs (hot tub 1 we liked the best), fire pits with wood provided. We would come here again!'

'Great location and it looks charming from the outside. Perhaps the rooms in the main building are, but mine was full of mismatched Costco and fake wood furniture from the 80’s. Vinyl dining room chairs—though there was no dining room (lol). Poor lighting. None of the fabrics in the room matched. Window air conditioner was noisy, dirty, and tepid. No one in reception when I arrived and the front door was locked so I had to call a number and wait for ten minutes to check. Breakfast included is...

'The lodge was beautiful and well-equipped for gathering with friends, cooking, playing games, working out, hot tubbing. More paper goods would be helpful in the kitchen(paper towels, napkins). An orientation to the kitchen and common areas would be helpful. Information about where to get food locally can be helpful, especially for people staying for a night or two.'

'Het is er schoon en het personeel is behulpzaam en aardig. De accomodatid zelf is op leeftijd en er zijn weinig eetgelegenheden in de omgeving.'

'J'ai oublié des vêtements dans un placard à mon départ. J'ai contacté l'hôtel le lendemain par courriel pour voir comment je pourrais les récupérer et je n'ai jamais eu de réponse.'

'We had a wonderful time staying here. The breakfasts are wonderful and the hosts are amazing.'

'It’s a beautiful historic property. We were greeted on arrival and given great information about the area. It’s a short walk to the Main Street shops and restaurants. Rooms were clean, temperature controls were available and felt very private. We did not get to enjoy the onsite cafe but will look forward to it next trip.'
