'No front desk, all transactions were done remotely! If there was any issue, it would have to be done over the phone! Thankfully everything was fine, but I not a fan of getting instructions on my phone to check in! What if my phone wasn’t working or not charged since I was on the road! It was a wonderful room, but should be informed that there is no one at the hotel!'

'I was travelling so just needed a room for the night. A busload of teenagers arrived just before me. Staff was very efficient and I had a very brief wait to check in. Room was clean. I didn't eat breakfast due to all of the teenagers in line (not the hotel's fault). There appeared to be plenty of food.'

'Very clean quaint property. Our room was situated overlooking a busy 4-way stop which made it a bit loud for sleeping when the trucks with loud mufflers rolled through but rested well just the same. Recommend this property for those looking for a quaint historic stay within walking distance to the Mighty Mississippi! '

'Beautiful place for a family gathering! The kitchen had everything we needed for our meals. The host was kind and welcoming, and the unique historic home was grand and comfortable, with a lot of things for the youngsters to marvel at! We’ll be returning soon! '

'Host double booked over me for his “private” hunting business. Couldn’t use living room or kitchen because his other guests had all their hunting gear in them. My bed collapsed the second day. Real nightmare. I would never recommend this property to anyone. '
