'First off, these are appartments not a regular hotel. There is a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms are spacious with a living area, kitchen, large bedroom and bathroom At the top of the building there is a small fitness room, pool and hottub. Because it's build on a mountain you really have 360 view over Kandy. The staff and manager are all very nice. The manager tried to help us with arranging train tickets and even brought us to the train station (at 5:30am).'

'Beautiful accommodation, great breakfast, and super friendly staff. The place is a bit remote, but we were aware of that, as we wanted to be surrounded by tea plantations. Simply wonderful.'

'Aardige mensen, goede ontvangst. De eigenaar heeft / had een visie met een dergelijke boutique hotel op te zetten. Hoogwaardig materiaal gebruikt, ziet er goed uit, echter er ontbreken veel details om aan de verwachtingen te voldoen. Prijs / kwaliteit staan niet in verhouding.'

'Sanjaya went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. He provided a takeaway breakfast at 4.45am when we wanted to go to Horton Plains and always made sure we were okay. Lovely secluded stay!'

'This place is truly a hidden gem, and the staff is absolutely incredible! It should be on everyone’s list when visiting Sri Lanka. The owner is wonderful; she invited my friend and me for tea, picked us up in her SUV since our tuk-tuk couldn't make it up the hill due to an earlier accident, and welcomed us warmly despite our late check-in. 'The stay in Kent Cottage is probably one of the biggest highlight of the trip around Sri Lanka. The place had a very cosy feel. Didn't feel like I was in a hotel/cottage. 'This small and charming hotel sits high upon the hill, overlooking a nearby village and the Oliphant Tea Factory. 'We are a Group of 7 from Singapore and we had a Fantastic time at the Villa! Great Chef that does excellent local food. A Villa Manager that organizes everything you ask for. A owner that cares and checks in with us if our stay was alright! Definitely coming back. '
