'We had so so much fun during our visit! The location is so beautiful, we were so fortunate to see the peak of fall colors and it was breathtaking. We saw the sunrise over the mountains right from our cabin and we had a clear view of the sky for nighttime sky gazing too, the stars are so much brighter! The actual drive to the house was super manageable, didn’t need 4WD so long as you don’t try to drive up the gravel driveway, which Michelle advises against anyway. 'Great place to stay! The cabin is beautiful and historic. Lovely walking trails and extremely comfortable. The host was extremely thoughtful and turned on lights for us inside and out as we were checking in well after dark. We hope to be back when it snows!'

'This was such a nice house! My son, husband and I stayed here for 3 days. It was great! There were condiments and so much stuff for us to use, which was nice coming from out of state and not wanting to buy all the things that we would just use a little of. The place smelled so clean and fresh! They were great about communication every step of the booking and check in. We plan on coming back with my other family members next time. There was lots of extra room!'

'Home is great. A bit of a challenge to reach due to part of the Blue Ridge Parkway being closed due to Helene. Went with the notion of being a wedding anniversary and near a dark sky site. Excellent in terms of privacy and relative darkness. Spouse is 5'2" and had a lot of trouble entering and exiting the hot tub. The mini split ACs are very effective, although it was challenging to understand they all have to be set to AC or heat to work. I'm technically inclined, so this did not pose an issue...

'Rick was very friendly and informative and met us close to the cabin so we could follow him there and he could show us around. This cabin is hands down one of the best views you’ll find! The view was amazing, it’s a private and quiet location not far from food and a cute general store, coffee shop/bookstore and only an hour from grandfather mountain and other attractions. We spent our honeymoon here and loved every second of it, and absolutely plan to be back!'

'Property was very clean and spacious. Very rural setting with several fishing ponds. Grounds were well maintained w/ fire pits, picnic areas and lighted outdoor seating. Great place to go to disconnect and enjoy some quiet time. '
