'Great place if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Deadwood area. It’s the first time we’ve stayed at the lodge and it’s a pretty cool place. The beautiful scenery of Spearfish Canyon on the hiking trails right from the doorstep of the lodge is a must see. the Latchstring restaurant has awesome food no matter what you order. I’ve been to the restaurant a few times over the years while snowmobiling and it’s never disappointed.'

'The hotel is along a highway which is pretty noisy. The bathroom door doesn’t lock as it is a barn door. But but not my favorite'

'I loved everything about our stay but the walk to the room. With it being attached to the casino you have to go through the casino to get to the hotel. This is very typical of all casino hotels but was not the norm for Holiday Inns. The restaurant in the casino was really good.'

'The price was right. We were there for a wedding and a little sightseeing but on a budget also. They didn't have commentary breakfast but had a nice cafe on site run by all men and the food and service were excellent! The room was clean and modern with a king size bed, small fridge and microwave. Was very comfortable.'
