'Very good location in city. Parking place in side of back yard (behind of gate), very good spacious and safety. Room for single was also spacious. Bathroom was nice. Bed was comtable, I sleep very well. Breakfast was good. Personnel in hotel was very friendly and helpful, I got plenty of good information of city.'

'Our Coolderry Lodge stay was wonderful. Wonderful. Centrally located, it's an easy jump to any number of places of interest in the country. Colette, our terrific host, provided warm hospitality, ideas of places to visit and excellent homemade sugar cookies. The farm dogs made sure we were extra welcome. It's hard to overstate the charm and the beauty and quiet of the location.'

'Yvonne and Peter couldn't be more accommodating! Yvonne met us to discuss the cottage. She had nice touches to make everything cozy. It was incredibly clean! We felt at home immediately! It was a wonderful base camp for Kilkenny and several other places. We loved Portlaoise and enjoyed several trips into town ( only a 10 minute drive) We loved their dogs and enjoyed spending time getting to know them. ( Our choice, they are very respectful of privacy) I absolutely recommend their place 100%!!'

'We really enjoyed this cottage. It was exactly as listed. So cozy and felt like home. Our host was lively and we loved the town. We enjoyed several meals at Giltrap Pub. Mattresses are still the kind with springs which was not a great fit for our backs but the rooms and duvet covers were just great!! Nice shower and bathroom. Overall, I’d recommend this cottage to all. We were able to make several day trips East and South. Great location if your renting a car. Thanks a million.'

'I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ballindrum Farm. My room was clean, nicely decorated, and had a beautiful view. Mary (the owner) was very welcoming and even drove me to town because I didn't have a car. To top it off, guests are allowed to watch the cows being milked every day from a viewing gallery (yes, Ballindrum is also a working dairy farm). I highly recommend it.'

'Het hotel is wat oubollig, maar wel goed schoon. De badkamer was erg klein, maar wel schoon. Minimale zeep/ shampoo voorziening. Het ontbijt was erg goed. Standaard Continental ontbijt, maar Irish breakfast met kleine bijbetaling aanwezig. Hele vriendelijke bediening. We hebben daar 2 x diner gegeten en dat was erg goed!'

'Bij aankomst & incheck zeer goed geholpen, Het was geen enkel probleem om de kamer te wisselen,zodat ik diegene kreeg waar ik mij prettig voelde.Personeel is zeer behulpzaam. Bedden zijn goed, het is niet zo chique als ik van een 4 sterren hotel verwacht. Wij waren met een groep en ieder had het naar zijn zin, daar er veel mogelijkheden zijn in het hotel qua bars & restaurant.'

"Beautiful historic building, nice garden, very friendly staff, good diner, nice bar with enough comfortable seats Only point of care is the breakfast : was not so good organised :ordered food was forgotten, a lot of staffmembers but little management of them. But...all very friendly, no complaints about that. When they can organise that better: then it is perfect!"
