'Locatie is mooi, de tij valt mee. Je kan niet op 't strand zitten, geen ligbanken. Ook verboden met hotel badlakens. Wel met eigen handdoeken. Kakerlakken, gedateerd. 30 jaar oud. In de badkamer licht steeds stuk, wc en wastafel lopen door. Foto klopt niet met de kamer. Personeel heel aardig. Eten was de 2de dag beter.'

'What's there to say about a hotel started in 1972? If you're looking for modern amenities, you won't find it here. If you're looking for a time capsule of Swahili culture, you will find it here. Rooms have AC, a 3 pools were excellent, ocean view was excellent as well. Breakfast was authentically Swahili with really good mahamris. '

'We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Kobe Suites. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. It is a well-designed hotel on the best stretch of beach in Watamu which is also part of the nature reserve. When we dined in, the food and drink was excellent and moderately priced. '

'This was a disaster and we had to call hotels.com to get out of there. We did not sleep 1 night as this hotel. AC was not working properly, we did initially not get towels and duvet was missing from the bed. Generally very shabby and this hotel should not have 3.5 stars.. more like 1 star. '

'This hotel has amazing potential and was probably once quite grand. The facilites are tired and in need of maintenance and updates. We were there out of season so it was very quiet and the staff seemed a little challenged in knowing what to do. The beach is great and the grounds are super. I would stay here again but I’d check my room and test the shower before settling on my room. '
