'I didn’t like the fact I paid $400.00 for a water view and 10th floor. When my son and girlfriend checked in they were put on the third floor with parking lot view. I booked the room and didn’t tell them about which floor or room prior. So needless to say I was disappointed to hear about this lower vibe room the next day from them. False false false. It be nice to have a comp. for a next visit. Regards Warren'

'The rooms were not at all like the pictures. The carpets in the rooms and hallway are absolutely disgusting. The room stunk likr someone had sprayed a can of room freshner in the room. The front desk guy was not at all friendly.There is no elevator, just stairs. On the upside the restaurant was very good and the service excellent.'

'Tried to cancel about 47 hours before the stay because of a death in the family. No one answered the phone. Then sent an email. The response from the motel stated that the “policy” was that cancellations had to be made 48 hours before so we would be charged for one night. No compassion here.'

'What a beautiful, affordable inn right beside the highway and Lake of the Woods. Arrived late in the evening during a cross-Canada trip and the staff were very helpful, and provide an option for key drop off when leaving very early the next morning as I did. Clean, comfortable, and very well priced rooms. No concerns about vehicle break-ins here at all, which was not the case further on through Winnipeg, for example. I will be back on my next return trip to Ontario!'

No window that can open in the bedroom ( heat accumulates ) Fridge making a very loud intermittent high pitch noise ( had to disconnect it ) TV was not set up, I had to look at cables the wall and the system to make it work. The metal plate in the front door was not screwed in, I had to screw them myself for the door to function had intended. They are renovating, but they should not rent a room like this. They should give a partial refund, it does not deserve to be...

'Don’t expect the Ritz, or contemporary amenities or design. The motel might look like nothing much, but it is actually a very comfortable place to spend a night. It is clean, the shower is nice, the bed is very comfortable. There is a fridge and microwave…all you need. Would definitely recommend!'

'It’s not terrible but it hasn’t seen any updates in a long time. Extra charge for more than one person which was new for me. It was an extra $10 for my wife to stay in the same as me. I didn’t like that. No coffee machine, no cable, no cups just really lacking a lot of normal amenities. It was very outdated but the room was relatively clean. Barely any hot water which was rough. The staff that i interacted with had a very difficult time communicating English well. They were friendly but...
