De 1 na laatste dag kwam de insectenbestrijding, terwijl we een dag later zouden vertrekken met als gevolg het hele huisje onder de kakkerlakken. Het strand was verwaarloosd. Het hele huisje was niet goed onderhouden. Wel een goede ligging bij het strand, maar helaas wordt daar weinig meegedaan. Er zou een hele hoop meer mee gedaan kunnen worden met dit complex.'

'The ocean views were amazing! The breakfast was consistently delicious. The staff was always helpful and very friendly. We had a small issue with our room (no fault of the hotel) and the manager quickly offered us an upgrade to a beautiful suite. There is access via a walking path to two separate beaches, and many dining options nearby (Guiones is a short 15 minute walk down the beach for more options). However, There are two locations for this hotel. one is near the main road - that is where the pool is and it is a small pool so we didn't end up using it. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the beach area which was as advertised. Excellent breakfast included. Staff were great. It is a small town so easy access to everything.'

'The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars!
