'For reference we stayed in Atenas Costa Rica April 14th through April 19th. The house is gorgeous, and the view from the backyard is stunning. On two separate occasions toucans came to the tree in the backyard to feed on the berries. We also had 6 head of cows/ bulls wander up one morning while we enjoyed coffee on the back porch. 'For our second week in Costa Rica, we chose this home in Atenas. The photos do not do it justice- it is such a wonderful and relaxing retreat. The private pool and outdoor shower allowed a connection no nature. Hammock and hanging chairs, lush landscaping, toucans…. Just too much to mention. We will return to this special place. Lizz did massages on the breezeway our last day to the sound of rain and the birds. Communication was excellent.'

'This house has abundant charm. The location provided a pleasant, peaceful, quiet getaway. Close enough to town for convenience, but far enough away to feel safe and secure. Six year old grandson loved the pool. Great place to stay for rest and relaxation. We would definitely stay here again.'

'Villa Serenidad exceeded our expectations! It is a beautiful home and the view is wonderful. We really liked watching the cows and calves next door and meeting Iggy the iguana. The people of Atenas and all of Costa Rica are welcoming and so helpful with those who are not at all fluent in Spanish! I don't think we ever had even close to a bad meal either! 'I have travelled around the world and I will say that this place was the most disgusting place I ever ever stayed. Nothing was as described. Service was nonexistent garbage was never taken away. Towels were never replaced. Sheets were the same ones for nine days I would not recommend this place to anyone.'
