'Everyone was very friendly. The rooms are not very big to move around in with two queen beds. The breakfast bar needed more hot items.'

'New Bern is a hidden gem! Incredible history, architecture, gardens, shopping, dining, etc. Try Persimmon's restaurant on the water. The brand new staff at Tryon Riverfront weren't helpful at problem solving room issues. Food fantastic (especially gluten free sweet potato pancakes) but expect to wait awhile.'

'Such a great retro motel! All the decorations were reminiscent of the 70s but in a super cool way. The rooms were simple bit modern. We loved this place! It was like stepping back in time when everything was just a bit simpler, more relaxed, and all around better! Will definitely stay here again!'

'Wij hebben er maar 1 nachtje overnacht op doorreis. Centrum van New Bern is mooi en all American. Hotel is heel groot, de verdieping waar we sliepen waren ze net aan het renoveren, maar onze kamer was proper en mooi, met een mooi uitzicht op de haven. Zwembad was klein maar mooi.'

'Location was beautiful, beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked great, and appreciated the black out curtains. Our daughter loved the balcony and view of the water. Water pressure in the shower was very nice and towels were super soft. Breakfast from the Bistro was expensive but delicious!!'

'First off don't expect Hot fresh coffee! My family and I went to the lobby to grab coffee and tye coffee was COLD!!! Asked the lady at the front about the coffee (this was at 8:30pm) she stated she just clocked in at 3pm and hadn't made a fresh pot for either coffee meaning Strong, Decaf and light coffee until 9pm!! Why?? She was NOT FRIENDLY at all!! Again for breakfast the lady there this morning (9am) had not finished brewing the coffee which we drink Strong and that coffee hadn't been brewed...

'The property and my room were clean. Very nice furnitures and great decoration! The location was great and very convenient ; close to downtown and all historical locations . The breakfast was good. But My bed was uncomfortable; the mattress's very hard and the pillows were not good . Gladly , I had my own pillow, otherwise I would have neck ache . The lady was polite and organized but not very welcoming. I didn’t feel that warm feeling. Anyway, it was a good trip. New Bern is a beautiful town.'

'This was our second stay at this hotel and it was wonderful. It is not easy traveling with an 80lb. dog and they make you feel so welcome. The staff is super friendly, they provide a welcome bag for you and for your fur baby. The rooms are always clean, we can leave our dog in the room unattended {HUGE plus}, and the grounds are great for dog walking. The breakfast is always good too. 'Room was clean, spacious and quiet! Staff was excellent and checkin was quick. Breakfast was good. Love the grits and that banana bread; reminded me of my grandmothers. Will definitely be back and next time I will be bringing my bathing suit. The pool looks so good and they have the lounging chairs I can relax in! My new go to for my work trips to Kinston.'

'We had room 233, very clean. No bed bugs or bugs in general. Trust me, we looked with our handy dandy O'Light flashlights with UV & regular flash light. Very quiet hotel, plenty of self parking.'
