« The room was ok the did not use the refrigerator there was water dripping from inside it but didnt need it there. Didnt notice it till I was ready to leave but there was mushrooms growing out from under the cabinet where the refrigerator was other then that it was ok »

« The room wasn’t clean. There was a meth pipe laying in the parking lot half broken. The TV didn’t work and they would not move us to a new room. Website says breakfast but we never seen anything other than juice. Water pressure was horrible. Honestly I would say find a local business throw a cardboard box out back and you’ll have a better stay. »

« It’s a solid budget hotel. It’s not run down but it’s also not a resort either. Everything in the room worked as expected and the staff was quick to address the tv remote issue. A good solid place to sleep. Didn’t check out the breakfast, not a breakfast person. »

« Facility was very convenient to my work, and my room was nice enough although the a/c was iffy and my wet towels were never picked up. My biggest problem was the lack of elevator and I was on the 2nd floor. No one ever asked if I needed assistance getting me bags upstairs. Also, the breakfast provided was terrible. No protein whatsoever, no fruit, a few bagels, bread for toast and a waffle maker. The breakfast room was very shabby and the halls were not clean. »

« I travel to So. Illinois annually to visit but this is my first stay at the Makanda Inn. It will not be my last. I had a very peaceful stay- after long days of family visit and running around with the grands, it was so nice to stay here where it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast every morning was top notch and just the right portions. »

« The cabin was great! A few little extras for a welcome package. Did not skimp on the towels and bedding. Great decor. Loved it!!! »

« High quality room, with farm privacy and atmosphere. We would recommend it and stay there again. Only one thing: The ladder to the loft bedroom is quite steep. My wife struggled a bit with it. But then, she is in her late 60's. Nevertheless, a good place that we will recommend. A/C worked well, and was needed. Room very clean. We hardly saw staff, which was fine, as we enjoyed our privacy. »

« The pond did not look like it did in the picture and it was a disgusting color and did not have a beach walk in area. There was also a bug in the refrigerator and on the floor by the refrigerator and then another bug by the garbage can and there was dog food from previous people that wasn’t picked up also thought it was ridiculous at 830 in the morning there was a mowing crew outside that was woken up to on my vacation and I took pictures of it »

« We enjoyed our stay at the well outfitted cabin near the Shawnee Wine Trail. Cabin is conveniently located near Giant City State Park and the lodge restaurant. »

« Four grown men on a weekend fishing trip. Cabin was perfect. Great grill on the back porch…we cooked every single meal out there. Very peaceful. Host was very accommodating and the cabin had every thing we needed. »

« Pretty nice stay overall. Location's clean and quiet. Deer and peacocks around if you like those. Hard to get lost. Only 5 miles off from stores if you need to pick something up. Negatives: I'm short and had a hard time reaching things, so I had to buy a stool (that's a me problem, I realize). The wi-fi never worked so I had to rely on mobile data (TV streamed through satellite so that was fine). Dealt with a lot of spiders and flies. Didn't try the hot tub because two wasps were hanging around...
