'Very helpful staff & owner. Excellent location. Walking distance to the beach. Lots of coffee, and filtered water available. Older hotel but it was nicely updated. Great view of lake Erie. It would be nice to have room darkening blinds to keep the morning sun at bay'

'The location was central and close to everything. We were disappointed to find we had been put in the basement; not the room I booked. Dark, very musty and the room freshener had a very strong scent and just made the smell worse. Also there was no ac in the basement. My booking included ac. The host tempered the room using a device however it took time to get the room comfortable. Breakfast was generous and well done and the host was very gracious to offer it at any time we needed it.'

'The Grove is a great little hotel with a few good restaurants and pubs around. Our room was immaculate ave beautifully decorated. The pillows and the bed however were not super comfortable (we were both rolling towards the middle). The room we had looked into an indoor garage under construction so we had no way to know what kind of weather it was outside. There is a nice little lounge area with free tea and coffee by the front desk. Staff was extremely nice and helpful,'

'I have stayed here many times, but this time there were several things. Lamp switch was broken, tv did not function properly, it was dirty just outside the door and the worst thing was, the shower got cold very soon. '
