'Horizon has excellent location close to beach. It is dog friendly which I love as have small dog. Food is fine and good breakfast. Prices are reasonable. Horizon one main issue is rooms and some furnishings in lounge area are now needing replaced. Rooms badly need refurbished. It is a wee gem and I wish they would attend to these issues as if so I would make onging visits to it.'

'I cannot rate the staff at this hotel more. I've travelled for work for years and I've never had better service at a hotel. The team at the Dumfries Arms were exceptional. I can't fault them. My husband and I had a fantastic two night stay, the food at the restaurant was delicious and catered well for my gluten intolerance. '

'B&B ligt aan drukke straat aan de rand van Ayr (niet te lopen). Geen ontvangst, maar notitie in hal. Ook later wordt je niet begroet. Kamer en badkamer ok. Goed ontbijt, maar eigenaren afstandelijk. Restaurants op 20 min wandelen in Prestwick.'
