'I booked the (cheapest) hotel room for a layover night for a multi-day trip by car. The room was dated but the bed felt good and the bathroom was clean. However when I was about to go to sleep it turned out there were no curtains so it was impossible to block the sunlight. When I raised the issue to the staff member at the desk she contacted the manager, after which I got the answer that not all rooms have curtains but it's possible to have an upgrade to the superior room for a 20 euros surplus,...

'This is where you’d want to stay in Zvolen! Large modern apartment equipped with many amenities for your stay (kitchen, cot, many towels & linens, laundry though no dryer/drying rack). Communication was last-minute but okay. Thanks for our comfortable stay!'

'I was highly dissatisfied as after a long drive and arriving late at night, the hotel informed me that I was not in the system (while I had my full confirmation with me). Moreover, the hotel was not as pictured and certainly not worth 100 USD a night. Nonetheless, after insisting that I must be in the system, the receptionist say `Ah yes, you are right, we relocated you (without my knowledge) to another hotel because we were overbooked.` The receptionist then provided me convoluted directions...

'This hotel is wonderful. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. There is a seating area that they provide with a coffee/snack area, along with a breakfast area. This hotel is up the hill with restaurants nearby. Since parking is provided - use this space and walk around as there is little parking available in town.'
