'My one night stay was a good experience. The staff were very friendly. My room was very spacious with a huge bed. Breakfast was good. My only complaint is that the bath is super slippery when having a shower. I know there is a grab handle but I almost dare not let go of it. I put the bath mat in the bath in the end which solved the problem. I usually take my own shower mat with me but forgot on this occasion, I will remember it next time. Other than that one point my stay was very comfortable....

'Located in a lovely setting but starting to look a bit tired throughout. We booked an upgraded room so two nights cost £355.00 Bed and breakfast which I don’t feel was good value. We have stayed in a much nicer hotel with that amount of budget. The room was OK but things like a shower over the bath with a rather tired curtain were not what we had expected. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately I felt the experience didn’t live up to our expectations...

'Stopped here overnight whilst walking the South West Coast Path. Very clean and comfortable room with everything I needed after 16 miles of walking and ahead of 20 miles the next day! Lovely period hotel, fabulous sash windows, high ceiling, warm and cosy room, really nice feel to the place. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Extensive breakfast menu, all cooked to order. I had a delicious vegetarian breakfast. Would highly recommend. '
