'What a great ryokan experience! Definitely a highlight of our trip. This was our introduction to an onsen and it was perfect. The meals are a must! The food is so fresh and delicious. 'The Miyajima Hotel Makato was an absolutely excellent experience. Their customer service was the best I have ever seen in my life! They were very helpful with every need and request. I absolutely would stay here again! The only thing I would change was the type of room. Make sure you want to stay in a traditional room if that is what you want. It is what we requested and was so cool. Next time I would stay in a modern room. They were excellent!'

'We had such an amazing experience at this hotel. We both have tattoos, so we booked the private onsen which happened to have the most breathtaking view. We enjoyed it so much! The kaiseki dinner was tasty and the intention to detail was impressive. The view from our room was also incredible and the staff was very friendly. Would absolutely recommend staying here.'

'Verblijven in deze Ryokan uit 1854 is als logeren in een museum - op een positieve manier. Het was een unieke ervaring. Er wordt welkomst thee geserveerd op de kamer, het diner en ontbijt worden geserveerd in het restaurant. De Onsen is ook zeer goed uitgerust. '

'We stay at The Yard for 8 nights. Our unit was clean, the bed was comfortable and the office employees were very friendly. We appreciated the frozen “light meals” that were included in our very reasonable room rate. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Our only complaint would be that the completely asphalted property has very poor drainage, so when we had an extremely rainy day our shoes got soaked walking onto the property to access our unit. '

'The room is nice and the biggest we have had in Japan. It was very quite at night since there was only one other guest but on a different floor. Great free drip coffee and chill area downstairs. The self check-in was easy if you use the pre-check in option. There is no staff but everything is explained very well with pictures in the book that is provided.'
