'Our stay here was just what we needed! Perfect option for our little family (Grandma, 3yo, 5yo and Mum). Kids absolutely loved the playground at the foot of our backdoor (2 bdrm flat). Heaps of room to run around or you could just sit by the river and watch the water. The 2 bdrm flats are slightly older so don't go expecting 5 star quality. It was perfect for us with a great location, handy as we were travelling between family around the area. There's a simple shop on hand for necessities....

'We had fallen in love with the Sands Hotel in an earlier overnight visit (2023). The ocean view from the room was exceptional and the weather was pleasant so we slept with the doors open listening the to ocean and the breeze. Staff was wonderful and meals were good. Folks went above and beyond by being able to make up an ad hoc dinner when the power was out - delicious fish dinner by candlelight. There was a decent number of construction projects underway so it looks like the hotel will only...

'Tijdens ons verblijf deed de wifi het niet, maar dat zou een tijdelijk probleem zijn, omdat ze de receptie aan het verplaatsen waren. Verder een prettig verblijf en op loopafstand van de winkels en resaurants'

'We stayed for 1 night only in early October. The 2 bedroom apartment was excellent. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and tidy, as was the lounge area. There was ample parking in the basement area. The walk to the township of Paihia was along the sea-shore and was very pleasant, and close to the ferry terminal where we caught the ferry to Russell.'

'Ik verwacht bij hotels.com minimaal een kamer te boeken. Niet een plek op een camping . Een cabin op een camping zonder toilet voorzieningen. 5 Minuten lopen voor een douche waar je ook nog voor moet betalen. Een stinkende hut waarin je moet slapen, rijdende auto`s, blaffende honden die je wakker houden. Hotels.com, schaam je dat je zoiets durft aan te bieden op een Hotel site. En dat voor 80 euro per nacht.'
