'De netheid van de kamer was zo zo. We hadden via hotels.com duidelijk aangegeven dat we 2 pubers van 15 en 16 hadden, maar daar was in het hotel duidelijk niets van bekend.We zijn er 2 nachten geweest. De eerste avond veel geluidsoverlast want er was een bruiloft in het hotel. Ontbijt was goed maar er moest extra betaald worden voor de kinderen. Voor ons niet voor herhaling vatbaar, ondaks het vriendelijke personeel.'

'A good alternative to staying in Halifax for us while visiting family. Clean and comfy room with a modern feel and easy contact-free checkin/out. Has parking, but we were car free so used local taxis for the most part to/from Sowerby Bridge centre (£10 each way) and also walked a few times (be aware, quite a steep but enjoyable climb, takes around 25 mins). 'Slecht begaanbaar voor mensen die iets minder mobiel zijn. Doolhof van gangen en trappen. Oud hotel. Hier en daar opgeknapt. Geen mogelijkheid om even binnen te zitten om op de taxi of ander vervoer te wachten. De kamer was super. Alles aanwezig. Netheid van de vloerbedekking laat te wensen over. Vies en onverzorgd. Randen en onder de bedden en nachtkastjes niet schoon. Vies dus. Ontbijt zeer karig. '

'Excellent for the price I paid. Rooms have recently been renovated and it showed. The only niggles were that the extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy and probably needs replacing (room 10) and there was no hot water: I tried to have a shower but couldn't: No matter how long you ran the tap for or in which position the water never got warm. Would definitely stay there again. Big thank you to Jamie who so very kindly let me check in early.'

Some menus are available in reception but the hotel is happy for delivery of any type of food to be eaten in room and probably in reception on request if preferred My room was basic but ample for a one night business stay and very clean. Bed very comfy and hotel is in a quiet area so little noise during the night Staff very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast basic but as included in price good...

We had a drink in the pub & all staff were super friendly, especially the lad who was also on check out this morning! We didn’t have breakfast as we went to my parents house nearby & my dad cooked for us 😊'
